Abyss Lord - how to?..

What is the best way to use AL?
Just bought that character, couldn't find any decent guides on buiding defences with him.
Which ones to use? Should I try to use him as dps? Or just boost his own defences from time to time?

Kinda confused. Don't know which defences to build at chaos 1 (don't have any "special" shards from chaos yet). Any suggestions? Maybe someone could post a link to fresh guides on building defences with various characters (including AL)?

Use ramsters, boost their range, damage and that all you need from AL, his blockade suck, rangers get nerf'd, Colossus without special c4 shard useless.

Abyss lord does have great crowd DPS with his drian and his ramsters are fairly powerful due to their AOE. He's not bad to have at all. Though you should be using other characters for walls and more area coverage.

like other said, use rams with medal relic with the following shards defense crit+crit power+ destruction. you replace crit power with range shard aka deadly strikes after finding it.

i like my little orc blockade when i press 3 on it then it does 400k at tier1 and at t5 does 700k dps and i have the shard equpied for increased duration i just swop back and forward between the busy lanes, but dont get me wrong not saying its the best or anything just saying i like it :D

I use AL for laning with his drain and abyssal knight skill he can clear lanes very effectively if you gear him for ability power. Also if you can click fast enough you melt bosses with his right click secondary, I can hit around 600k+ dps with right click secondary. I use sand traps from the serpent chick and fizzures from lavamancer atm for my defenses, use my squires blockades because of their low cost. With the sheild shard and a decent hp totem you can do very well with the squire blockades. Also have a build for Apprentice flamethrower towers they do boat loads of damage as well but you have to be more dilligent with their placement or they will be destroyed.

Berserker orcs completely ignore them and rush to break crystal ... nuff said.

just need to place 2 orcs out they wont run past if you place them correctly , if you cant phisically walk past them there 99% of the time fine, but ye if you only place the one out in like c4 for example then game over xD
