I also agree with the OP in saying the voice acting is great except I'll remove the "in an indie" part as the voice acting in this game is better than most AAA games VA.
Couldn't agree more ... still voice acting in Dust is excelent and rare these days in my opinion.

Exactly! Even the character drawings. It's exactly the vibe I got too. I can't remember of the name (and probably because it might not have existed in the US) but I remember a cartoon that had human looking people with rabbit ears like in Dust.
And as for Fidget's annoying level? If you've ever played Lunar, she's not annoying, at all. Here's why (skip to 3:00):
