Logitech gamepad support or only xbox 360 controller?
Can anyone verify if I can use my logitech dual action controller with this game before I buy it. I'll also settle for great mouse and keyboard controls if anyone can verify that. Thanks a lot for the help.

Hi, you can use any gamepad that supports XInput. During development I liked to use a Logitech Wireless F710 (the same gamepad you see in the 'Big Picture' banner). The game of course also supports mouse+keyboard, and I actually almost prefer to play it that way on PC. I've added a dynamic UI that will detect which controller method you are using, and will adjust accordingly. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the quick response. I actually did a bit of research (I probably should of before I started the thread) and the dual action is direct input. I think I'll try the x360ce program to convert that to Xinput.

Again thanks for the response.
Noogy, your responses to almost everyone on this forum in regards to questions and concerns has inspired me to buy this game. I was on the fence but you just sold me and I'll keep an eye out for future games too!
You can map many logitech gamepads to the keyboard if autodection doesn't work.
the game does not seem to recognize my logitech dual action gamepad and quick fixes? im on win 8
I've having an issue also. Dust won't recognize my logitech gamdepad. I got Win 7.
U need to get a xbox controller emulator for ur usb controller. Game only recognizes xbox controllers
Please read Libtech66's post.
So you claim to have full controller support, yet you don't even support DirectInput controllers without an emulator? Seems kinda weird.

Newer Logitech pads support both Xinput and Directinput modes, so try that mode button. Older models communicate with only the old API, which Microsoft should have forwarded into the new API. Doing so would have demanded hours of brisk, mildly thirst-inducing programming at the Operating System level, while the alternative is for you to spend $45 on an official MS 360 controller. Which option would you choose?

The X360ce project lets you correct this little oversight, with a tiny bit of work copying the program into any given game's directory, and running it. It's nice to see that somebody is willing to put months of work into reverse-engineering, and code-injecting a fix for MS's little "gift".

Unfortunately it doesn't fully support all games. For example, x360ce can't translate my Rumblepad 2 to Tomb Raider's Xinput. I had to drop it and used different files https://code.google.com/p/xinput/downloads/list to make my rumblepad 2 work correctly in this particular game.

Full Controller Support is to let the buyer know that (if they have a compatible controller) they can do everything inside the game with the controller.

It does not mean you can take a 10 year old controller that uses an obsolete API and expect it to work with the game.
if they claim full controller support then they should work... my logitech gamepad is only a few years old and its not working
As was mentioned, use an older version of x360ce. Google 2.0.2.156 and try setting dxinput to 9_1_0.dll in the options. Cordless Rumblepad 2 is basically the defacto champion modern gamepad, but newer x360ce's were giving me a ton of grief with it.

From what I have seen the Cordless Rumblepad 2 is a direct input pad. It would make more sense to use something like the logitech F310/F510/F710 that has the ability to switch between Xinput for newer games and Direct Input for older games. That way you don't have to bother with 3rd party emulators.
