Best way to play HeXen?
I'm pretty keen to purchase the HeXen series however before I do I wanted to ask if the first few games could be played using Zandronum or another source port? So far I've seen discussions about the game being played on GZDoom, and I'm aware these older Doom-like games use an old fashioned style to play.

I play Hexen: Beyond Heretic using Zanondrum and it works great. As far as I know though it's the only game that will work with that sourceport ( although Heretic will also work, obviously) - Hexen 2 is based on the Quake 1 engine so no good in Zandondrum (it might play through my preferred Quake port Quakespasm, I'm not sure).

Google: DoomsDay Engine.

It is specifically designed for Hexen, Heretic & Doom Ultimate Co-op Multi-player. :steamhappy:
