Can't help you there, I've beaten him on regular NG and NG+ and I thought he was kinda easy on my first run (and still 1st try'd it) and on NG+ it was a complete joke. And on regular NG it was before he was nerfed. I don't even know why people were struggling with him in the first place.

first laser is easy to dodge but after getting on to the fights his main laser seems like impossible to dodge for me. also how do you dodge the throw you up to the sky? that deals so much of damage. it's not even funny. due to that i'm supposed to be dead but the devs probably is like making fun of people? instead of out right kiling you but kill you later.

he was super easy they even nerfed him and only that boss too :P

what level are you ? when he staggers keep hitting the gold ball and maybe more points into four banes and lightning resistance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

also i think i focused on hitting his front right hand it was the one glowing so maybe?

captain vice voice is the easiest boss in chapter 3 before he got nerf... arguably, i cant tell the difference between before and after the nerf.

Since the guys above our glazing themselves instead of helping I’ll try and give you some pointers. If you have some consumables, before you run into the fight use all of them such as the defense up, and attack up, the crit increasing item made this fight go smooth for me also. Stay underneath for the most part and tag the front legs, don’t lose focus of the bosses location or you’ll have to guess when it attacks, which is sometimes fine too, the head is going to be the sweet spot. Force a stagger through charged heavy attacks and light attack combo enders (Wondering wright is wonderful for staggers) when he falls over, go for light attack combo on the head; then use immobilize before he stands for another light attack combo. When the boss does the arena aoe attack which is where the beams continuously appear until you get a red visual que, run around the arena and wait until the audio gives you the signal to jump, it sounds like a buildup and then drops for a second and turns red which is your signal to jump or use rock form. It’s a frustrating boss if you’re not calm and collect, your main focus should be dishing out as much damage during the stagger phase though which is when he falls over leaving his head vulnerable. I like to save transformations for phases that I’m having trouble in to get a better grasp of the move set without worrying about dying. When the boss jumps that’s your que to slow down and anticipate the grab attack, wait a moment then dodge or use it as a spam window for dodging just make sure you don’t run out of stamina. As long as you’re taking notes on the bosses move set then you’re making progress, losing is learning and it’s okay. If you need to level up or craft better gear for an easier approach there’s nothing wrong with that either and is recommended. The tall lantern head things in the pagoda that appear when you go mad give a massive amount of xp when defeated. You can also go over your skill set to see if you might need to rearrange some things. Good luck, you got this.

since he have trouble killing the boss, i personally wont recommend to use consumable, that just wasting resources, plus captain wise voice is what you see is what you get kind of boss, no hidden gimmick, no tricky attack pattern.

considering he beaten chapter 3's 1st boss, he shouldnt have problem with this boss as that was a harder boss.

thanks so much. i been using above strategy. the best i have done so far is almost beaten him before he kills me. yes i used wandering wight and i'm using the lightning staff which has 70 attack. when he falls i used wandering wights and it hits alot of his damage.

before anyone accuse me of anything.. but i think this boss has bugs. i encounter it that for one fight the boss health doesn't go down. it stays stagnant no matter how much i hit its legs. spent few minutes hitting his leg and his health doesn't budge. at this point i just let myself die. luckily the bug didn't persists.

i think i'm having the issue where he keeps throwing me up and it depletes all my health. another issue is the main heavy beam. no matter how i dodge it just keeps following me. even if go behind him he will turn his body and just kill me with the beam. another is the room turn red. i use the pillar stance it seems i will still get hit though.

i'm not sure but this is definitely repeating the tiger vanguard like in chapter 2. maybe is the dev stupid design to frustrate people.

its already nerfed in last update

the only thing u have to make sure is attack its "head/ball" whenever its exhausted for maximum dmg output

only its right front leg take dmg

whenever u see both of his leg rise up with golden glow. use invisible spell to dodge the grab move

the full room laser cut could be dodged by rolling at the very last moment when its about to change color (could also be dodged by using invisible spell)

try to boost ur invisible cd, u could get it down to 10sec i believe

I don't think he ever did that attack on me. That said... there's a lot of action games where you don't truly until the animation is finished of grab attacks from enemies/bosses.
