i really liked the game so far it is beautiful and nice lv up design and everthing

but THIS BOSS IS CANCER
IS REFILLING HIS SHIELD NONSTOP

all of his attacks are DELAY ATTACKS HOW IS THAT FUN????

i know he shouldnt be ez and is optional but this is way over the board


i am litteraly a full day working guy i have no time for analysing his whole moveset and keep repeating him over and over

i try him now for 2 days each 3 hours

i think u need stone transformation and any spirite that deal dmg to a super armor like that headbutt guy

and that tornado fan works very well on him as well

all hidden boss are tougher than usual, as last hidden boss, he is one of the kind XD

his super armor only dispear for like 30sec, u should save all ur focus points and skills that could could do huge dmg during the downtime.

give more skill points for ur stone transformation just so u could use it 2-3 times in the run.

it almost get rid of the super armor 2-3times for u by itself alone. and fan will help u once on getting rid of the super armor as well

You can use The Fan. It can break his shield in one go. You can drink the wine to charge the fan. It will make erlang be ez. goodluck

Save the fan for the 3rd phase (about halfway through his healthpool). For the rest just git gud. That's really the only way to beat him. Learn his attacks and patterns well enough. Learn how to dodge his key attacks and where his biggest openings are. Try to not use too much magic until you can bring him down to half-health (maybe 1 or 2 cheap spells). Save the monkey army and transformation for when you hit him with the fan. He can hit you out of the transformation with 1 hit, so if you want to get some damage in with it, the stunlock the fan causes is a good way to do it. And the monkey army can get in your way, so it would also be nice to use a transformation that can force itself through their pushback.

Just switch to Yellow Brow armour with the Jingubang. Use Cloud Step and charged full focus, unleash when he's attacking your dummy. With crit rate you can even skip some of his phase by doing half his hp at first go (he restore shield at 75, 50, 25).

This is what I used to beat Erlang.

Golden armor, Jingubang, Wandering Wight, Fan, and Supreme Gourd with the sunset drink to get qi. Tons of points into defense and mana so I could use as many spells as I could.

Basically, survivability, mana, and qi generation were the priority.

Strategy is basically to use the fan so you can quickly break his shield, immobilize him to get qi back so you can use fan sooner (staff spin move) followed by a heavy for damage. Usually it's enough to get him to the next phase each time you do this.

After that, just fight him like usual as you build up qi to do it again.

As long as you're not too reckless and look for the right opportunities to get some hits in and use the fan you should be able to get him down. Don't spend too much time close to him. Even if you can't get a lot of hits in, drinking to heal will regain your qi, so your fan will be usable again.

Another tip, when he gets into phase 3 and does that attack where he chucks a bunch of swords at you (first time after his golden beam spam) you can just use staff spin to deflect it, that way, even if you get hit with his red lightning afterwards, it's not going to insta kill you.

This it the key to have some Daoist patience and not get carried away. I've gotten too carried away and it costs me. You have to be patient and careful in this fight.

There is a well-known game anchor in China, the boss of Erlang God has been fighting for 6 hours and has been angry many times. This boss is really difficult, don't worry, try to use Bajiao fan ，transform into a stone man to break through his defensive shield

just r1 spam his shield, it breaks. His shield wasnt a problem for me. Resolute strike or tactical retreat, the "parries" of the game, are also really good. Esp since he dodges charged heavies later on. Seems to get hit if you try to trade w him tho.( happens when he is injured)

I quit this game because of this boss. it is no fun playing a game boss over and over 100 times and you cant beat him... I do not want to hear git good either... Not all of us have the hand eye coord that others have... I got through all the other bosses fine. I do not mind trying 5 even 10 times... but I have tried literally days to beat this boss. I leveled up to 166 and tried looking at 20 different videos... nothing worked. It I hate this game, just because of one stupid boss that they cannot let you beat... or at least that I cant... there is absolutely no fun in this.
