Missing armor pieces

i've just beaten the giant secret beetle in chapter 2 and i found out im missing armor pieces, specifically the chestpiece for the insect set. i looked up online and it seems like the ability to craft the set only requires fuban to be dead

the only reason i realised is because i couldn't reach the full set bonus. i noticed earlier that some sets didnt have the full four pieces but i assumed that was intended. is anyone else having this issue or could help me out?

I don't want to wear it anyway but now i have fear of missing out.

The torso is av1ilable in the secret area of chapter 4 after beating an optional boss(in an optional area, so it's extra missable)

the torso? for the chapter 2 insect set? why is the chestpiece all the way in chapter 4 seperated from the other pieces?
