From the beginning, TGA never wanted to give GOTY to BMW

Look at the five nominated games, one is DLC, one is a reset, one is a BMW, and the remaining two are indie games, But they can't give the GOTY to a DLC or remastered game - even if their original instalment was good, it would break the rules, and obviously giving a top award to a Chinese game would break the rules too!
so if I'm not mistaken this award was supposed to be for another of Sony's “epic games”——Concord?
Do they really pay attention to what the players are saying? Chinese players are not treated as players? If they think Chinese players have too many votes, then all the foreign players combined don't count as players? Why can't you just simply celebrate videogames and be done with it? It won best rpg, it got nominated in goty and it got nominated also for player choice. Sure they didn't get the goty but who cares?
It still got recognized, it still got praised so be happy for other devs that also made it to the nomination, it's not that hard.

I wont deny that it has good art but the Game is still full of mechanics that plague mobile Games. Premium Currencies, Cash Shop and Gacha Mechanics.

i cant enjoy the game with its lore and story though. unless one is just clueless to it or go blind while playing. its like someone enjoying a game even after very bad people are put into a good light. there is more to a game than just graphics and game play and linear dumbed down progression. this s the problem with stuff like deadpool vs wolverine. we all are supporting shady characters who made the film but we go dumb and watch the movie cuz its only made for the left zoomers.

I could care less who makes the game and what they stand for and what their agenda is. If it's a great game that looks like I'll enjoy, I'm gonna play it.

This is the problem with games and awards shows or anything like that in the industry. Emotionally attached to a product that somebody made.

I can honestly say that if it was Elden Phalanx's dlc or ff or ReFantazio,I wouldn't have said anything because I've watched a lot of gamers online about those games live and I think they're excellent, and even though I haven't played them I'd applaud any of them for getting GOTY, but it's precisely because of that that a ten hour game being the “Best of the Year” is what makes it hard for me to accept.
