DRM just causes too many problems for law abiding consumers, and verges on the edge of you not actually owning what you paid for in a way.
But hey, if the game reviews good I am going to buy it anyway...
- Performance and stability issues
- Size of the file
- The money used on it could be used to develop the game
- Makes it impossible to create mods for the game
- If the servers shut down, you lose the game, even single player
Except it doesn't stop the crackers from cracking the game, it just takes them longer to do it.
And those that consistently pirate games will not be convinced to buy games, ever. No matter what you do.
All this usage of Denuvo does is hurt those that buy the game by saddling them with this intrusive DRM...
Say no to Sweet Baby but then they say yes to Denuvo, counterproductive if you ask me. Paying money only to lose sales because of it.
FYI you are addressing the pirates, but they are not here on steam discussions. Only us paying customers are here. You wanna talk to the pirates? Go find their habitats.
There's definitely tons of pirate here on steam forum complaining "Denuvo this and that" a decade old steam accounts but less than 50 games.
