Other than the resentment and despise many normal gamers already have against SBI, IGN and the woke crowds in general, there are good logical reasons can justify why people tend to believe the extortion scandal of SBI and Game Science even if there is still no 100% solid evidence.

1. We already know there is still no solid evidence can completely prove the truthfulness of the “extortion part” of SBI scandal, yet. HOWEVER, everything else, from the various hit piece articles wrote by the Western woke media, and the quotes, screenshots from American and Chinese social media are all REAL! Even the screencap of Kojima’s comment on this game and the response from a random wokie on X are also real. And they are all open to public to read.

Remind you, not just IGN, several main stream Western media are also attacking Game Science about this, these outlets are no small cake tabloids, they’re big famous ones, and they have “weights” in Western gaming industry.

So far, neither sides (Game Science and SBI) have come out to confirm, deny or confront about this, but the news (or “rumor”) already spread like wildfire and incites anger in both China and “The West” for quite a few days. Under such context and situation, who will be seeing as “villain” and gaining most negative spotlight if they remain silent? Obviously SBI, but they still don’t respond, not even a slightest deny, almost like they silently acquiesce it. Moreover, SBI’s “track records” make them look even more suspicious, I believe many folks have already seen the footage of SBI’s co-founder openly described how they would conduct “terrorizing tactics” on those who don’t conform and obey their requests. So it's completely reasonable to presume SBI did do that to Game Science, and highly likely they actually did.

3. It’s completely true IGN had written the sexism hit pieces on Game Science last year(2023), and they’re whining about it in almost every article they released about Black Myth since then. Recently, they posted (mainly Rebekah Valentine) a “statement” regarding this scandal on a small section of their latest article about Black Myth, and they deny “NOTHING”! Instead, they’re still continuously whining about muh sexism, demanding Game Science to respond their accusations, furthermore, now they double-down their wokeness and blatantly whining about they think there are “No Women or Femme-Coded Characters” in the game. Therefore, you really cannot blame most people, including me, for unironically believing this whole scandal is TRUE, especially considering almost every sign all indicates it could be true.

But I think its also important to remember the simple fact that no evidence actually exists yet. There is only the post from a single blogger and if we just run with that 1 post and take it at face value then we stoop to the same level as these journos by repeating unsubstantiated claims.

As it stands right now there are so many people across forums on steam, reddit etc repeating the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (for now) rumour and many grifting youtubers taking advantage of the outrage by pumping out their low quality videos to their rage-induced audience who feel the need to always be at war with something or someone.

It's simple a company like SBI not addressing any of these allegations on a professional level, it implies there is a high chance the allegations are true. You always publish some kind of statement. These allegations are company ending type.

This is why the story tracks; SBI likely approached Game Science, who denied them due to China's laws against such activities. SBI either wasn't aware of these laws or didn't understand them. As a result, they went to their insiders and gave a signal to there friends at the news outlets to write the slanderous hit pieces who were mistranslated and have no substantiated evidence.
