what will the game's playtime be?

i just watched 2 diff videos of hands on for this game and they all said it was linear, small areas, and only some exploring and tons of boss fights... which i'm actually happy for. don't care to see another 200 hour 100,000 mile bloat open world game.

that being said what are the guesses for one playthrough? i saw articles said about 15 minimum in 2020 but if i had to guess it's gonna look like 15 if you speedrun and maybe 30 maybe 40 if you take your very very sweet time with areas or something lol

Depends. Game I played that were advertised as having at least 160 hours, I finished in 20-40 hours. Hard to say because some game likes to bloat numbers just to make the game look larger and longer. I guess it will depend on replayability. Some games advertise long gameplay because it includes the assumption of multiple replays.

yeah im curious. i feel like based off the demo in 2 hours having 12 bosses (including optional) that a playthrough will have to be between 15-20 hours

Leya mentioned in her video that she expects the first playthrough to be around 40-80 hours depends on how thorough you are going through different zones.

that seems way too long lol, even with 80 bosses if there were 11 or 12 to be found in the 2 hour demo there is no way it's anywhere close to 80 hours..for a platinum? yeah that makes sense but one playthrough maybe 40 if you're going slow but the areas are small and linear according to a bunch of different sources and videos. it's not elden ring sized areas thankfully lol

if that 10-12 boss range per area or every 2-3 hours stands let's say it would be around 20-30 hours assuming you do some exploring too i would guess, idk i guess we'll see. hey i wouldn't mind 80 hours for a playthrough but that seems stretched if it's linear. even elden ring with some exploring if you're going for bosses isn't 80 hours.

You're going to have to replay the game 10 times to get that kind of playtime. Game Science advertised 16hrs. In the years of development, I don't expect that we'd see more than 30hrs of this game.

just saw back on this now but i 100% agree. one playthrough is gonna look like it's around 30hours, maybe 40 ABSOLUTE tops if you're getting everything. people are trying to convince themselves this game is gonna be a lot more open and longer then they think lol
