Is the protagonist fixed or can you customize him in any way?

Moreover, and tied to the first question, are you "forced" to play as a monkey?

Is this more a soulslike, or more an action rpg with different mechanics?

Yes, i usually don't try to gorge myself on videos and previews, if someone would answer these questions it would be great.

It's too early to answer anything about customization.

Probably yes. I mean, it is a story about Sun Wukong. That's like watching Pirates of the Caribbean and wanting Jack Sparrow to be a roman centurion. Pardon the sass.

you can probably customize his gears but the character model is pretty much fixed. the title literally says the character name, Wukong. Sun-Wukong himself is a very iconic and hugely popular character in Asia(Son-Goku in Japanese, Son-OKong in Korean). he is the selling point of this game.
