why is "Diversity" a bad thing?

I've seen some disturbing threads and articles praising that the game doesn't have LGBTQIAA+ representation, feminism, Diversity, etc. My question is "Why is all of this a bad thing?"

Why are people so hateful that they're willing to buy a game out of spite to these ideas?

It's not, that being said, this game has nothing to do with that, it's based on Chinese mythology and doesn't feature any of those topics.
Despite the fact that, at least to my knowledge, It doesn't oppose them in any way whatsoever, people who are against the topics or movements you mentioned will assume the game takes a side. It doesn't. Same goes for people on the other side who believe diversity is what makes a game, they will think the game takes a stance different from theirs. It doesn't.

The funny thing is, you could make an argument that this game does feature a form of diversity since it's about Chinese mythology, a subject not often encountered at least in video games and because of that it reaches a larger audience with different backgrounds.

Because fundamentally (as with it's hetero counterpart) LGBTQI is boring. A character being gay (or preferring the other gender's fashion) is about as interesting as another being straight. Neither add anything to a story except to act as a vehicle for an emotive response at some poignant part of the story... In a creative medium that can be as absurd and fantastical as it possibly could (and should) be.

If no one tried to cancel someone else over not subscribing to their ideology then none of this would have happened. Back when I played Diablo 2, the sorceress was an Indian woman. Nobody cared. Whenever I design sorcs on D4, I like to copy that same model. I have no problem with it. I think it's great.

But if someone wanted to cancel me for not making a character like that in D4, then we'd have a problem. That's where we are today. It's not that people have a problem with how others live their lives. It's that people are pushing back against what has now become systemic bullying.

Diversity to westerners means black people and art direction that is deliberate attack on viewers senses. Nothing more.

Forced diversity in inappropriate places ruins the immersion, You have a black King Edward or a white Chinese emperor or a Asian Zulu it throws the whole thing off. Most games don't have relationships, and the few that do are sparse, having to throw in something to show that they are gay or trying to represent a sex they are not, just to promote a ideology also throws off the pacing of the game.

The story matters in games, not the ideology, and if you can't put the ideology in a way that isn't out of place, people wouldn't complain so much.

Simple answer is that nobody has any real issues with Homosexuals, Women or different races being represented. People have an issue with it being shoved down their throats for years on end, to the point of replacing characters who were white and male for instance with black characters, this is then compounded by forcefully adding women and homosexuals into roles that don't make sense and basing their entire personalities around being a woman, gay, black, etc.

I personally have a problem with the LGBT Organization, because it's an actual cancer on the planet, gay people on the other hand are not. The difference being one is life choice and that's it, and the other are a bunch of attention starved adults who cry and whine if you refuse to play along with them.

If the corporate entities that push this garbage stopped shoving it down peoples throats, stopped actively replacing characters with diversity hires who add nothing to the story and generally suck at acting(voice, show, etc.), stopped calling the fanbase the many different buzzwords out there, stopped pushing woke propaganda, stopped ruining franchises. Just in general if they'd STOP, this wouldn't be an issue.
