2.4 million concurrent down to 300k - Very strange anyone notice?

Did anyone else notice a 90 percent drop in players within 12 hours? This is very strange. I wonder who, or what country could be manipulating the numbers?

It's pretty normal in single players games when they come out. They rush out to play it right away, then they start taking regular breaks from it after the hype wears off.

Yes it's very odd that over the course of 7 hours the playercount dropped as people went to sleep in China.

I didn't know they sleep over there. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

There’s nothing sketch about it, a majority of all the players are from a single country and it’s the middle of the night there, in 12 hours after work hours it’ll sky rocket again lol

It's not strange at all. Steam's player numbers have a very visible mountainous peak, and a deep valley, every single day. The 2.2 million concurrent players was at Steam's daily peak. Since then, it's been going down. Then it will climb again, until Steam's next daily peak.

And right now China is mostly asleep.

China has pretty severe restrictions on game time.

It's single player, so there isn't that extra urge to stay on at all times and play with friends/keep up with other players.

And lots of people went to work or to sleep. I live in the US and it came out at like 8 PM for me. Would've come out at like 11 PM for my east coast friend, and he was in bed by then. I Played until about 3 AM, went to bed and now starting my shift at work.
