Bro... you can get mad or you can learn to understand the combat. I was like... wtf is this ♥♥♥♥ when I first tried it but I kept at it and it finally clicked.
Once you understand what they are trying to do with the combat it is actually really good. Very different from souls games like ER etc but very cool.
As for the accusation of simping... bro, look at my library and time played on countless games. If a game is ♥♥♥♥ I don't waste any more of my life on it and I drop it and move on.
Believe me, this is a YOU problem not the game. But stay mad bro, your loss.
So... you only have irrelevant ad hominems as the basis of your argument? Got it, I will dismiss anything further you have to 'contribute'.
You are litterally just doing an adhominem fallacy and if there were truly anything meaningful you knew that I don't you would already said it but no, you are just focusing on telling me that I am the problem without telling exactly what super secret techinques you are using that I am not seeing.
You think you are the only one that has played tons of games, bro I have done the same I know a game with ♥♥♥♥ combat when I see it and this is exactly what this is.
I don't think you know what an "adhominem fallacy" is in that case.
You need to be more aggressive and build up energy for the free heavy attack. If you try to play this like a FromSoft game you're gonna have a bad time. I am not great at explaining as I never really deeply analyse any souls games combat, I just get a feel for the moveset of bosses and this game is no different.
It took me about an hour to adapt to the first boss I encountered which was Wandering Wight and it took me a lot of tries before it clicked.
You are just getting angry and blaming the game, which is not going to help you
anyways, gotta agree with op its fun to "git gud" again its just like its a souls-like and at the same time its not... madness...
Combat isn't unresponsive, it just punishes button mashing. You can get out of any light attack hit with a dodge, heavies are commitment.
The delay creates impact and you get damage reduction for it all via skills.
You do a LOT of damage, when you attack correctly. Focus moves hurt, more focus, more damage.
You only have the monkey king staff variants, why would you think you get different weapons?
They don't and you'll see this more the further you get.
This won't happen if you perfect dodge just an FYI.
You can stop a boss in their tracks with immobolize, or just knock them down with strong hits. You avoiding them hitting you is your choice, go on the offensive.
Dodging is not the only defensive mechanic in the game, you can parry as well, it's just not at the start of the game.
This is not the best way to kill bosses actually. This actually explains why you think the combat is bad. Everything in your kit is there for you to use.
Start the fight with an immobolize, build up your focus, hit with your spirit attack while they are immbolized and then go on to your damage rotation. Build up the max focus you have, do NOT spend it on varied attacks (On bosses.) You're better off doing a charged heavy when max focus because it is instant. Huzzah, you knocked the boss back/down. Now do it again. You'll be surprised how fast they go down. Save your transformation for bad moments as it is an entirely different HP bar.
The combat flows quite freely. The BIGGEST problem with the game, is the camera cannot keep up with the action. On specific bosses this is truly problematic.
*yawn*
I'm sure the devs will enable it globally soon enough, with enough feedback on input lag.
An adhominem fallacy is when you resort to attack the person not the argument, the moment you start attacking my ability as a player you are engaging in an adhominem fallacy.
Nothing you say refutes anything I said you are trying to make a fake argument here as if I don't know that you need to hit the enemy and then use heavy attacks, its not a secret, how does that disprove the unresponsive combat?, the cheap boss attacks?, that there is litterally no loot in an "action RPG"? Nothing you said disproves any of my complains with the combat.
