Input Delay?
Do y'all also experience a huge delay when dodging or doing anything?

Dude, you know that you sound VERY unintelligent right? I didn't even know the delay was intentional, that's why I started a thread ASKING others if they experienced the same, so I at least know that it isn't an issue on MY end.

Now I have some random dude defending something that has never been attacked in the first place, while thinking he's smart or something.
I clearly explained it in the VERY first post... not my fault you didn't understand.

Wow, you just proofed there's latency while @dustin1280 apparently LIED and said there wasn't!

60 ms latency while having more ''intentional'' latency on top of that obviously explains why it feels like there's such a big input delay. Thanks.

Move on liar.

First, latency of 30ms or less is generally not noticeable to the human eye
Second, for gaming anything under 100MS is "acceptable" of course the lower the better and getting above 80 is generally pushing it.

If you actually read that rather than trying to say GOTCHA! You would see that turning FG on drastically reduces this to the point where it's not an issue.

Your complaint is still the fact that there is delay between attacks. It is STILL a YOU issue. You still don't understand anything about what you are trying to complain about.

Yeah, I felt something is off the moment I launched the game and indeed, turns out Nvidia overlay shows a 25-65ms PC latency depending on the scene (30-70ms with FG on) - https://imgur.com/a/wFUAP8Q

To the poster above who says "latency of 30ms or less is generally not noticeable to the human eye, anything under 100ms is 'acceptable,'" just GTFO.
Unless you're trolling, this statement alone discredits everything else you could possibly write on the topic

I've been playing for about 11 hours or so @ 30 FPS on the OLED Deck and haven't noticed any latency issues.

Delays created by waiting for animations to play out are absolutely intentional. This is supposed to encourage more deliberate and intentional play, rather than mindless button-mashing.

Same thing you see in most soulslikes (although this is not a soulslike, there is some influence).

There is for sure a delay and the people saying there isn't brains must move in delay lol. 6800xt and on the lowest settings at almost 200 fps and still has the delay with no frame generation it's almost like everything is in slow motion. I've noticed some Nvidia cards don't have this issue I'm assuming the 4000 series cards are what this game was designed for.

In this topic: OP confuses input lag with intentional animation delay, the likes of which are VERY different things.

This post is the BIGGEST reason why Frame Gen is absolutely garbage

No, the complaint is that the movement feels unresponsive. I haven't even fought any bosses yet besides the intro. I'm just moving around and asking myself why it feels so sluggish...
This is a personal issue, you are complaining about attack delay and the fact that you can't cancel everything.

Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly fine that you don't like those things, but it's not a game issue.

Nah man, the game is definitely running super slow input lag. I beat the starter cinematic boss, then got to the revived tutorial. I couldn’t even look side to side without being at least .5 seconds behind my inputs
Dark 21 AGO 2024 a las 4:05 p. m.
the first time you play is gonna feel the laggiest since every time an enemy does a new attack the game gets a shader compilation stutter. now it's possible the character attacks animation uses frame data to execute the next move, something like mortal kombat where the combos are tightly timed, but also it can be engine delay, reason I couldn't enjoy Wo Long on PC because the timing was off because of poor consistency. I usually avoid games on consoles for high input response issues but somethings on PC is worse.
Umbra 21 AGO 2024 a las 9:30 p. m.
Getting massive input lag as well. For me it seems variable. Sometimes everything working playably well then the lag is massive. Im also getting massive 2-4s freezes though so that might have to do why its so variable. This is on a 4070ti super.

Not sure why that dustin moron decided he needed to come in here and derail a discussion on a verified problem either, some people damn children...

lol the gaslighting and bravado from the fanboys in this thread is actually insane. there are very noticeable and brutal input lag/latency issues- it has nothing to do with skill or being unfamiliar with input buffers or attack wind-ups. disabling frame generation helps a good deal but there are still issues. also although there is a stacking input buffer, I've definitely been seeing a lot of people credibly reporting dropped inputs.

sorry you had to deal with people being condescending and uninformed lol
