They may release them as a dlc down the road
and a fancy gourd.
I pre-ordered Black Myth Wukong Deluxe Edition from the key store, but the keys for the game were delayed for 5 days due to technical issues after the release and I didn't receive Pre-Order DLC, although I really wanted to get it. It's sad that this way I missed out on pre-ordering the game, which I actually did. I really like collecting full DLC packages for games in my Steam Library. From now on, I will only pre-order games on Steam! Trailblazer's Scarlet Gourd is an item that is much more useful than the items that are given for the Deluxe Edition and really helps in the fight with bosses in the early chapters of the game, when there is no way to get other Gourds and the ability to heal is very limited. In fact it's almost
P2W item, since in order to get full Health, 1 heal is enough on the first use, compared to restore health with a regular Gourd, you need 2-3 uses, and this is a pretty noticeable difference in the first 2 chapters. This item can only be obtained in Chapter 3, when it becomes less relevant.
Usually the delay wouldnt have effected whether you get the DLC or not, since it's the key itself that tells steam what version it is. I've bought keys years after a games release and gotten the pre order dlc cause the key was a pre order key.
So chances are the 'delay' was the seller running out of keys and sourcing new ones, and these new ones were not preorder keys, just normal ones
Yes, I understand, but with Wukong it turned out that stores sold keys for the regular version under the guise of pre-orders, since keys with a pre-order bonus for this game did not exist or may have been created, but they were not sold everywhere. This only shows that by pre-ordering a key, there is a chance of getting the regular version of the game without pre-order bonuses.
An item you can still obtain by playing the game up to chapter 3
