Why Steam instead of Epic Games exclusive?

Why was this game released on Steam instead of Epic Games? The publishers decided to give 30% to America instead of 12% to China (number#1)? I wish the game was available exclusively on Epic for a limited time. I’m disappointed.

Steam is the place where most people buy games.

I have epic account, but I only really cash in on rare good free deals like getting "guardians of the galaxy" game for free.

98% Players are from Asia anyway, so they would buy it on WeGame or Epic anyway. I don't think they care about numbers in steam, when they have their asian platform.
