AMD 24.7.1 Drivers not supported

Ran the game both on 4090 and a RX 7900 xtx and looks like that AMD drivers are not supported at launch. Running 64gigs of ram, 7800x3d cpu and AMD drivers keep crashing within the first 3 mins of the game. And yes I am running the newest drivers.

hey, what kind of crashing are you experiencing?

they recommend downgrading to 24.5.1 for now. The newer drivers have a bug that crashes the game.

Didn't know that. Unfortunately cant downgrade as my work load needs the newest drivers. But worked great on my nvidia 4090 with ray tracing

As mentioned above, roll back driver. Google AMD cleanup utility and download from AMD.

Download 24.5.1 then run cleanup, reboot install 24.5.1.

You do not need to run the latest driver from AMD, read patch notes before you download any new driver and if you don't have issues don't update. This is what I prefer about AMD in that I don't need seemingly daily driver updates to play games, which is why I don't buy Nvidia GPU's among other reasons.

Weird haven't updated my GPU drivers in awhile yet haven't had any problems almost 2 hours in 7900XTX.

I've had nothing but issues with new releases since upgrading to an AMD 7600 XT. I honestly might go green at this rate. AMD Driver Timeouts FTW

AMD is the way to go, it has good value over money. But some of us need the current drivers for work, gaming is more of a hobby. Happy to wait till the new drivers come out.

No, re-read my post. I said nothing about new drivers being a crash fest or that it would be a good thing. I did say not needing a new driver to play is. SUks, I ran Helldivers 2 just fine on all AMD system, maybe your PC troubleshooting skills are like your reading comprehension skills.

This is interesting. I'm on the newer drivers and haven't crashed once using them. Has anyone tested newer drivers vs the recommended ones for performance measurements?
