Wandering Wight spirit?

I managed to kill the dude, and it left a "spirit" flame behind. When i tried to take it, ti said that i "can't take spirits without guidance".

Now if i return to the wandering wight location the spirit is no longer there.

Did i lose something important?

So I shouldn't try to kill him til later in the game?

nothing's lost. Continue progressing chapter 1 and you'll be able to redeem the spirit

You get it later when you progress to the point of using the spirit. There is a "Claim all spirits." button.

curently in chapter 2 and no "claim all spirits" yet.

@deadwishd in Chapter 1, before you first see the fish skeleton guys; did you meet the old guy that upgraded your gourd? If not; go back now and find that guy.

And, just to be really clear, the option appears as an extra menu item when at a shrine. Once you claim spirits it goes away.

Any luck? I'm in chapter 4 and still cant get it lol
