Positive review bomb?
What is going on? There is no way there is already 65,000 reviews with 96% positive.

It's a great game, we saw it with the journo reviews already.

100% bot reviews from China, boycott.
Photon Aug 20, 2024 @ 6:25am
Because the protagonist of the game was already well-known to the Chinese four centuries ago, all Chinese people now know and love him, and the game is currently the best game in China with a high-quality plot and production value. This is why it is popular in China.

The majority are from China. Outside of that country, this game has no interest. Steam really needs to start taking action against shilling:

You realize China has 1.419 billion people? That easily overshadows the majority of countries, hence why it's such a big chunk of the pie. The rest are in the millions apart from India. They're no downplaying this game it's an amazing game and well worth the money

It's all just chinese players, the reviews are literally not real.

Definitely suspicious.

Either bots or A LOT of Chinese people showing support because it's a Chinese studio and the source material is one of China's biggest, most popular IPs; not necessarily because the actual game is THAT amazing.

One reason why you can't really trust user reviews.

Everyone claiming all this nonsense above is stupid. The game is just that good. Yes it has some technical issues but it is jaw dropping.
The game just released and the reviews appeared within hours. No one reviewing the game right now has actually finished it.

This right here, the game just launched idk how people beat it so fast to leave a review .
also , do you think if steam made it so that reviews can only be left after the average amount of time it takes to beat a game rather than 2 hours into the game that it would help the review boards sort out this kinda of stuff and troll reviews ?

It is beyond dumb that Steam allows to add positive or negative reviews if you have played game for literal minutes.

Should be minimum 10 hours or even 20 hours.

I get why this game is popular, a lot of demoralized western games jumping for hype train.

Its normal, happens every time a heavily marketed game, same reason why people jumped on startfields etc.
Deklatis Aug 20, 2024 @ 6:42am
I mean there were a handful of negative reviews under an hour because people kept crashing at start or after the tutorial lol. So you can't really put a minimum limit on the time.

It does have 300K viewers on Twitch so that's something.

As with all games (good or bad) in the end, it doesn't matter what others think. If you like it, then who cares.

Yeah, you right but it will be like Fallout 4.
everyone shilling it and proclaiming it to be god tier game and attacking every negative comment.
But there goes 1 or 2 months and suddenly everyone who took off their rose coloured glasses suddenly ♥♥♥♥♥ on it for being mediocre.

That‘s truth, steam should change the time and make someone who did play or playing this game leave their comments. But for this game, after I played for like 6h, I would say it's so far so good, and I think I will play it for 150h+. I'm not saying Wukong is perfect, there's still something that needs to be improved and fix, so just wait and see.

I'm not good at action game, so I watch streaming instead. I like the game still。Maybe that are some reason for 1hour review.

Dude, 2.3 million concurrent players on right now playing this. Why not?
brkbeatjunkie Aug 20, 2024 @ 7:01am
ive seen copy paste reviews that say the EXACT same thing. If the game is that good, why pay for reviews?

I doubt anyone is paying for reviews as the game is generally really good to begin with, the opening is absolutely badass
