At the moment no, hopefully it's just a bug but at the moment you are unable to rebind mouse nor keys.

You can bind left, right and middle click, that's all. mouse 4 and 5 are out, as are any non-alphanumelical keys (except ctrl and alt), so no numpad, no arrows, no page up down etc., no F1-12 keys etc.
And for people that use another type of keyboard than qwerty, anything other than letters won't work because key inputs don't even register.

It still baffles me that stuff that was a given 20 years ago is not possible today because devs just don't understand how Xinput work...

It's not a bug by the way, it pretty much happens in most crossplatform games, and more so in unreal and unity ports, becasue devs just don't implement Xinput properly and just leaves the config file to default, preventing most keys to be rebound.

Well if that's the case I'm not impressed, especially for the fact that this has not been mentioned anywhere. Even a reviewer send that you could rebind everything.

If they don't fix this issue they are going to make a lot of people angry, myself included. Some developers just do not seem to care about left handed people or people who need to rebind keys as they are disabled (I am both and because of which, I can't use a controller).

I've played less than a minute of game play, and frankly if they do not fix this issue I would have got a refund. Frustratingly I purchased the game not from Steam, so I doubt I could get a refund.


EDIT: Tried playing the game briefly by editing the keys with PowerToys, but even then the game is difficult as the onscreen prompts are the wrong keys and the game was clearly designed with a controller in mind (I doubt the developers played with a mouse and keyboard for an hour). The boss battles can be so fast you just can't press the correct keys fast enough (that's where being a right handed person benefits).

It's a shame as I've been interested in the game since the first teaser trailer.

Why not strg, ctr?
Only two presets for Controller? Wth?
This is killing my play fun...
I trid to play with a Controller (on a PC :)), im going sick. I dont know why, but that's not Kind of playing games (one reason, why I play on PC, not at console.

I am disappointed in this. Mostly because it knows you have those buttons but when you go to bind it just says your not allowed to bind to them. I don't understand that at all. I was able to change the jump from CTRL to ALT, but I always put jump on one of the side buttons in almost every other game, so I find myself always pressing it. I just fail to understand this design decision and hopefully it will be something they can add in a future patch.

I am with you. I am terrible on a controller. I know this game wants you to use one but my experience would be so much worse if I attempted that. I Bought a PC controller to try and Play the first NIOH game and that turned out horrible for me.

You could Try your mouse software and put keyboard letters onto the buttons and bind them that way. It's what I do using ROGs armor crate. PowerToys might be able to do it if you don't have mouse software that can, I use it go remap keys in some games.

You shouldn't have to do it - I use a rog spatha and have 5 side buttons (I mostly use up and down) and it's a great way to counter the fact I have trouble with controllers. So it's insane not to be able to rebind mouse keys and keyboard.
