Can't rebind keys to my liking

What is it with these Eastern games, not letting you rebind the keys as you need.

Agree, I want to use my mouse extra buttons. Can't set V on side mouse-buttons.

Because not everybody is right handed and people with disabilities also may need to change the keys to their liking. I happen to be both and due to this I am unable to use a controller. At the current time, I have not able to play one minute of game play.

I am hoping because the menu states that you can rebind the keys that it is just a bug that will hopefully be patched out soon. If not (which worries me due to the pop up stating you can't rebind), I and many other people will certainly not be impressed. The fact that this has happened at launch and not a single reviewer or the publisher has mentioned this issue just shows that we're not given virtually any thought.

I'm not sure being left-handed has something to do with it, gamers use left kb right mouse whether leftie or rightie. It's just a bit of left hand overload, personally I'd swap jump and staff spin from ctrl and v to both thumb buttons

Good to know though, that´s a reason not to buy the game because I also need to rebind to Numpad as left handed person...

The mouse controls isn't the main (though frustrating) issue it's the keyboard. Most left handed people like me use the arrow keys and rebind keys for use of the Num Lock keys. With this game we can't do that.

Also, with games that require you to use a lot of keys (especially if the game is fast paced like this one can be on bosses etc.) I find it harder as there are less buttons I can use especially next to the arrow keys. If you are right handed, you can nearly use the entire keyboard at your exposal, you just stretch out and press it with another finger. Whereas I have to take my hand of the movement key to press the number buttons etc. which slows you down and can get you killed in the game.

As a left hander who uses a left handed gaming mouse and rebinds all keys, esp movement keys to arrows(which are specifically locked out here as were on jedi survivor) and the above 6 keys for special moves its DEFINITELY about my left handed ness and already refunded this game because of it.

Do you have software for your mouse and keyboard that lets you change keys? Like G Hub? I can use what ever I want using G Hub. No issues.

I haven't no, I've used PowerToys in the past several times (and I am trying to set it up on this) but it's a bit of a pig to set up especially when there's a lot of keys you have to rebind. Also you've got to remember to turn it off when you exit the game!

To be honest though, we shouldn't have to install third party software just to be able to play a game. In reality how long would it take one of their coders to fix the issue? Probably minutes. Not once did the publisher or reviewers state that we can't change the keys in this game; in two written reviews I read that we could fully customise them.

Another issue with third party software is I have read that some people have been banned from certain games as the game thought/regarded it as cheating software.

There is no excuse for a modern game not allowing you to mape to the side buttons that almost every mouse has for decades.

yeah and honestly i dont remember how i got through doom without key rebinds ;)

but i did obviously since im 55
