First Boss, Can't Absorb Soul Without Guidance
I rested and the soul was gone where the boss died, did I screw myself or does it work this way? TY

You will be able to recover the soul at a incense station further up the forest path. I am assuming you fought the Wright or whatever. The big head baby thing? You will get GUIDANCE from a vendor up the path, then shortly past this human is an incense shrine in there is an option to RECOVER SOUL or something. Hope that helps.
