I got it to work by going into the game files and changing the b1.exe properties to run as administrator by default. Now it loads fine from the Steam launcher. Hope this helps!

You don't? Are you on Windows? If so, right click b1.exe, hit properties, go to the compatibility tab, then tick off the box that says "run this program as an administrator." Then hit apply and OK.

Doesn't work for me, not in normal mode or compatibility mode. i press the green play button, which then turns into a blue stop button, as if the game is launching, and then a few seconds later it becomes a green play button...

DAMN i got the same problem tried various things

not sure how but i did verify integrity of files and found 4 files missing even though i had just downloaded the game a hour before lol , hope this helps someone

I have the exact same issue as you so I am glad it is not just me, BunsBandit, I found the same issue with missing files after I verified them but even after downloading them my game did not work. Did your's work afterwards and if anyone has found any fixes please can they share

I have a similar problem with the game not starting, I tried everything that was advised in other topics, no result. The benchmark starts without any problems. Processor - i7 10700k video card - rtx 4070ti super

Worked for a while....back to not starting again after 24 hours, speechless!

I would update video card driver, check integrity of game files, and try to run the compatibility mode. Good luck!

This worked for me, not this but searching "run programs made for previous versions of winds" worked and have never had an issue or crash since.

Same here. I have tried all the online tips and to the point of uninstalling and installing but nada. It worked before but for some reason it just stopped working one day. Argh.

Shouldn’t have to do any of this just to play a game. Ridiculous. Refunding the game now.
