I suppose this game was made for RT only. I played many games without RT the most of games, but Wu Kong have no normal shadows without RT
[ConsoleVariables]
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=0
and
[SystemSettings]
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=0
to the Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini files but neither seems to make a difference.
A Good example of what I mean is RDR2. Enable sharpening and DLSS at any level and then look at some trees in the midfield (or even grass) and then pan the camera little bit and stop (repeat).
You will see the color of the leaves and grass shifting to overbright then dim. It happens to all colors but the greens in rdr2 are an easy to spot example.
Digital Foundry talks about this sharpening stuff in their video. Odd they made this a forced thing though.
Honestly a lot of steps to enjoy the game :/
put the files here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BlackMythWukong\b1\Binaries\Win64
open the SUWF file and if you don't have a 32:9 monitor disable [Patch:AspectRatioLimit]. You must change Enabled=true with Enabled=false
Now under [Patch:DisableSharpening] change Enabled=false with Enabled=true
save the file
Thank you but I would prefer a solution that allows you to fine tune the sharpness.
This does indeed work, but like you said it's a lot of work. I really don't want to start UUU every time I want to play Wukong, inject the dll, and then enter the command to adjust sharpening.
I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about with RDR2 and I also know how to fix it to make the game look perfect. The version of DLSS RDR2 still uses is super old, you need a special program that swaps the old DLSS file to the latest version. Most games you can do this manually but the Rockstar launcher will override any files you place in the folder hense why you need a special tool. Google rdr2 DLSS swapper tool
