Sony should really just start supporting xinput... There is literally zero reason for them not to at this point
Try almost everything but the game wont recognize de Dualsense
Well they do use it as a crutch.. steam input is literally no different than something like xpadder/ds4windows or any other software that essentially converts digital input into analog etc.
It's taking controller input then translating it into essentially mouse and keyboard before sending it off to the game engine.
If you want native controller support your game needs to support the primary API for it in Windows which is xinput (directx)
Microsoft isn't stingy about it so Sony not using it is literally a choice they make.
The only way to get native support is if the game itself has support which really just means the input driver for dual sense is in the game itself which is quite frankly stupid.
Sony could probably release the same driver for xinput with almost zero changes... It would take even a mostly incompetent programmer a couple hours at most
Same here, even though the game literally tells you it has dualsense support when starting up.
