Can I choose the gender of my character?

All the latest RPG have the ability to choose the gender of the character, will there be such an option here?

The story and its source material is not based on a women. To have a female character would require re writing a large portion of its story.

How hard is it to just play something as it is presented? Its not like theres a shortage of games that give you that choice.

The myths about him have been passed down in folklore even longer. He’s not a character randomly made up by modern people. He’s a stone monkey born from the nature, traditionally considered male, though you could view him as genderless. Therefore, the game won’t allow you to choose his gender. Chinese people don’t distort classics and history for the sake of political correctness.
