They said that this is not a hard game, somewhat decent challenge, but more focused on giving you good feeling of challenge, rather than punishing. Bosses will not take hours to win, probably most will be beaten on 1st try.

Well I don't know, I am asking since I want to know if I can set it to easy and have fun as I get home from work and drink a beer as I smack ♥♥♥♥ around. If its like God of War (as someone above said) I am good.

looks like a Nioh 2 type thing to me. You need to dodge well but the game also allows you to beat the hell out of enemies with combos

Its more like Bayonetta/God of War/Devil May Cry, not Dark Souls. You will beat this probably in sub 20 hours as casual play and not boss grinding.

Probably not as hard as Erdtree but this is the first game, Dark Souls 1 wasn't all that either, it only starts to get real hard in DaS3.

Well yeah, we will see. But generally a good gamer can beat a well designed bosses in 1st try or 2nd and still feel engaged and happy in it. I beat most in Dark Souls that way, some took 10+ attempts yes. I am sure there are bosses that take multiple tries, but from what I understand, its not like 10+ tries to each boss to learn the patterns to have a chance.

If you're wondering if it's like a soul gane or like elden ring, then the answer is clearly no.

Is there a challenge definitely?

But you simply need to learn the mechanics and boss fights and how to handle enemies as well as roll and dodge and use your staff to your advantage to get up above certain attacks.

That will come in a little bit of practice. And then you'll get through the game pretty well and be able to up your skill tree and for your abilities

There is a growth system, so if you can't beat them, just grow up.

The combat is a lot faster than a Souls-like, so yes, I'd argue it indeed looks like a Hack-N-Slash.

someone with a brain finally that isn't brainwashed into thinking the game will take you 100 hours to beat cause it's loaded with content.

ofc it is! but...it's also a linear game through and through with a focus on story. it's not going to be very long.
