Can you just release the game now?
Last Edit: For those who think I'm autistic, I am and I apologize for my condition but allow me to further explain. This is Primarily a Steam gripe, I look and see that it says that the game releases on the 19th on Steam... But it never gives a time. So my thought is, oh, everyone gets it on the 19th. I had no idea it releases on the 20th at 10 am in China, so that's when everyone else is getting it in their respected time zone, which is 10 pm on the 19th for me. This made it an error on my part to take off on the 19th thinking that at some point I'd be able to start playing the game. That is MY ERROR and I understand that. My debate however, is why can't we get midnight releases again? I don't want it at 10 pm on the 19th (Of which I would only know if I searched for that or followed the games development), I would prefer it at midnight ON THE 20TH or that Steam was more accurate on the release time by saying, "Hey, for the dumb ass autistic people, the game comes out on the 19th at 10 Pm." Imagine, if you will that you see a release date of the 19th and think ok, the 19th and you wake up at 4 am and get told, this will unlock in 18 hours making it closer to the 20th instead of the 19th. Go ahead and laugh at me and call me stupid, idc. I just hope people aren't as mean to you the next time you fumble a time and date. I'm not asking to get the game before China, I'm asking for the game at midnight on the 20th so that it's a set date and time FOR EVERYONE. China would get it first regardless and even sooner. I’m suggesting midnight releases so that I know when I can start playing the game. If it were midnight, I could start downloading at midnight and play it then or go to bed and play it immediately when I wake up or whenever ON the 20th.
This isn’t me having an issue with this game or developer, just an opinion on releases altogether. I’m not asking for special treatment, just for consistency on releases.

[Original Post] It's already the 19th here at 4:41 am... It says the game will release in 17 hours... Why not just say the 20th? I guess this can be a discussion about midnight releases of video games altogether cause frankly... I want to play a game when it releases the day of. Not have to wait till my bed time to download it, then wait till after I get home from work to play it, the day after it releases. I just don't understand why we can't go back to midnight releases for digital. Even people with physical copies on console will get to play before me. This seems like an unnecessary practice. Most people are mentally living in their own time zone to care about who gets it first, just as long as everyone gets it at midnight in their respected timezone. Idk, maybe I'm an idiot. I just really hate having an off day and thinking, "Yes, I can play it!" only to not be able to play it the entire day and night of the 19th.
Edit: Since some of you think I’m entitled, it states the release date is on the 19th for me… it’s already the 19th in China. What I’m getting at, is why not put the release date at the 20th AT MIDNIGHT for everyone. China would get it first, how would that make me entitled?
Edit 2: You’re ALL seriously misunderstanding my statement altogether. My method would have it already coming out in China. China would get it first. It would simply be more clearer for people who prefer to set things aside so they can play the game (requesting the day off) for it to then be a random ass time. Like, I’d prefer it to release at midnight on the 20th than for it to say the 19th. Like, cool, I’ll take it upon myself to start requesting the day AFTER off (of its release date) instead but it’s just always random. Sometimes it’s 10 am. Sometimes, it’s 10pm. I prefer the physical midnight release method. I don’t care who gets it first, I’d be getting it last.
Edit 3: On Steam it says it releases on the 19th. It doesn’t give the time until the day of, I would prefer to get the game on the 20th at midnight of release instead of the 19th. How does me asking for a set date and a midnight release equal entitlement? I’d be getting the game last. This is more of a Steam issue but If you saw the game release date as the 19th and requested that day off so you could play only to see you were getting it at 10:48 Pm that day, you’d be just a little upset too. Is it my error for not checking the OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE AND TIME (IN A COUNTRY THAT IS NOT MY OWN) for the game online? Sure. But me pointing out or highlighting an issue is not entitlement.

The game releases in ~17 hours, which makes it ~10 AM on the 20st in the time zone of the dev. If you don't like that, maybe stick to games from developers being located in your own time zone? :steamfacepalm:

Because in mythology, the 20th is Wukong's birthday, and Wukong is from China, so there is a big time difference between us.

Yeah why can’t Game Science cater to OP’s needs, clearly the world revolves around them, how inconsiderate.

It's a Chinese company doing a release on Chinese time. You'll get to play it when it's ready for you.

The World has to wait for America 🇺🇸🫡.

Sucks for those ahead time wise.

Play something else.

Ok, that’s fine, I just don’t see why you wouldn’t put the release date as the 20th.

And as somebody else already said: Not everything revolves around the US! Wukongs birthday is the 20st, so they "celebrate" it by releasing it in their country on the 20st!

You are a prime example of an entitled American... :steambored:
