Forcing 4K texture downloads on people who do not want minimally better graphics for worse frame rates also seems like the "correct choice". Apart from how it's not.
This game could easily be half its size - or less, C'Mon now lol.
Games should have normal download size, which would be probably around 30-40GB for this. And from game settings, you could download the 4-8k textures for the extra 100GB if you want to.
IF the issue isn't download limits and speeds, then having to store all that ♥♥♥♥ you will never use certainly is.
Most of us have SSDs now. Their lifetime is measured in read\write cycles. Downloading dead useless data harms the life of my SSD, and I can't choose to NOT download ♥♥♥♥ I don't need. It's annoying.
