Plus some even didn't give a final score, because there were some pretty restrictive rules, like only 10 minutes of ingame content shown in video, only from certain areas, no cutscenes at all.
So the score is understandable and for their first triple-a game landing somewhere 80-ish would be a pretty big win. A games hype does often not equal their score.

Right, because sane gamers play games for the reasons you stated, not for gameplay, story, music and graphics.
