Firstly, there are the iframes issues. This is not a bug. iframes are basically a sequence of animations being shown or executed when the game receives a command, like attack or dodge.. If you press a lot of buttons, i.e. a sequence of commands in quick succession, all the commands will form a queue. For example, if you mash on the attack buttons say 5 times in a roll, and suddenly you see an attack coming, you press the dodge button, this dodge command will be added to the queue. So, your Wukong will attack 5 times before he can execute a dodge. But on screen, you are hit, and the chain of commands will be "deleted". That is how the code works. One way to avoid this is NEVER mash the attack button but pressing it with deliberation each time. But of course, if you have immobilized the enemy, you can mash the attack button but still I won't recommend more than 3 to 4 times.
By deliberate pressing the attack button, like press, n, press, n press, where n is said out in your mind. This allow you to change your pattern with ease as a result. Also, even if you press the attack once. You will have to wait till the animation of the attack finishes before the next move can be executed or seen to be executed.
Secondly, make sure that your computer does not exhibit any significant loss of frames. From my over 3,600 hr experience with Sekiro of which the key to success is to execute perfect parry/deflect, any loss in frames, well, any command issued during the loss of frames will be totally ignored. As a result, your character will suffer a hit instead of the intention to dodge or block or deflect. So, if you are suffering "ignorance of command", check your computer's setup, maybe lower the quality first, like lower the graphics by one level, e.g. from ultra to high or high to medium, etc.. I did that with my computer when playing Sekiro. For Wukong, there are a number of videos on Youtube showing what settings to use with different models of GPUs. Do have a look at them.
Be patience. don't think that owning a high end (or mid end) computer that your rig will be "invincible". There are too many factors outside your control nowadays. Strangely enough, there are more players with RTX 40 series GPUs putting up complaints here on this forum than lower end, Well, sorry, because I have RTX 3080, I put my attention to NVidia GPUs first and foremost. Apology if you have an AMD GPU. But the Youtube Videos on GPUs settings do include AMD GPUs.
Hope this help. Good luck and have fun :)
