thank you!

I'll add what I know off top of my head to the above (I've only had time to play into part of chapter 3, so not done with game yet but loving it more than I expected). Yes, I'm too lazy to better format it.

This list will include permanently missable until NG+ content and some note worthy missable content that goes beyond, simply look in that branching corner for a random missable material... but more like hidden quests and bosses.

The list is established roughly in order of progress completion so you can basically just follow it in order.
Note: I do not include any rare materials/items/spirits that aren't in the immediate path/vicinity of the quests below. Use one of the online interactive maps or a walkthrough on the Wiki for those if you need.

Chapter 1

Hidden Skandha Key Item
- Just before the boss in the river you acquire Immobilize spell while fighting is a Buddha head in the river. This is, specifically, the Buddha head that had an NPC flee from nearby and vanishing near the tiny invisible wall mini-waterfall. Interact with the prompt at the correct Buddha head mentioned and you get a key item, the first Skandha of several in a questline past where I've played so no more info yet.

Kill Wandering Wright (permanently missable)
- It is missable after a certain point, apparently. Unsure of the fail trigger as I've seen conflicting info online but it is some time later in chapter 1 supposedly so you can skip it until you're ready to come back as long as you don't go too far.

Horse NPC Questline (permanently missable)
- Speak to the horse NPC and exhaust ALL of his dialog until he starts repeating. Cycle it a few times until it makes you step away and then back to him to talk to him again, and confirm it repeats again at this point just to be safe as I've heard NPCs failing to trigger completion of dialog for some users. This is part of a larger questline over multiple chapters.

Hidden Boss / Shrine / armor / Artifact
- Ring the three bells and the third ring will teleport you to a hidden map temple. This has a shrine, and the earliest you can get silk I believe (buy from this particular shrine). There is armor here which is very important for the boss as it makes the boss a trivial joke because the trash mobs killed during the fight will heal you for massive infinite health (basically no gourd ever needed in this fight it is so powerful). There may be other loot in this map worth mention or it may just be materials (I forget). After the boss as yo leave the third bell area there is a wolf pelt next to the tree which when near it grants the flame resistant artifact (useful for end of chapter 1 Bear boss fight and later areas of the game).
NOTE: This might not be technically missable, but is one of the supposed triggers for making Wandering Wright missable. I'm not sure if this, itself, is missable as well. However, even if it isn't mentioned for sake of Wandering Right spirit and the benefit of the fire resistant artifact for chapter 1 final boss / later content.

Waterfall Loong Dragon (potentially permanently missable, but unconfirmed... see chapter 2 details)
- (not a typo in name, part of the four-parter Loong Dragon series of boss fights / hidden questline). Cannot do until chapter 2 item is acquired so remember to return here. However, it REQUIRES Wandering Wright (other spirits may work) if you fail to make the required boss break the open the entrance path in chapter 2 during a one time fight rendering the entire questline missable and some great loot/exp).

Chapter 2

NOTE: I highly recommend while following the below that when you reach the Tiger Vanguard boss in the pool of Blood you do NOT proceed to try and fight him at that time (assuming you don't win first go, which most probably will not). He can absolutely be beaten at those low levels like level 17 I did him (not in one go, more like 5 lol where every other boss was a 1 or 2 try except Wandering Wright 3x to give you an idea...). He is actually intended for when you're level (approximately) 40+ as once you reach him you go back to the Second Prince + Rat King fight arena where the locked door was and follow across the wooden bridge route. This leads to three bosses that are borderline freebie exp (granted if you screw up Shigadang fight it will become a harder fight probably as I don't think the other rock boss respawns since it granted me rewards the moment it died). Plus, all the exp you get along that route, an extra bell that is intended for the concluding chapter boss (but is actually probably great to deal with the way more aggressive last 20% or so of Tiger Vanguard's HP with its damage reduction effect so you don't die at that point), extra equipment, Pluck a Many skill (prob make Tiger Vanguard a joke in the lat 20% if you save it until he is like 30-40% and then decoy > cast). Plus, if you really struggle on him you can even do the secret area (refer to Drunken Boar Questline) for two more basically free bosses as, at least when I did it..., the Tiger you fight there is a joke (deleted in like 30 seconds with no gourd use... easy patters and seemed to have extremely low HP???) while the main boss of that secret area is mostly cinematic after the first like 30% HP... (you will understand). However, to do that you would have to buy the scam Sobering Stone from the merchant mentioned in below Man-In-Stone quest instead of getting the free one beyond the Tiger Vanguard fight.
Anyways, I digress...

Xu Dog NPC Quest (missable possibly? probably still there to finish it after frog even if you didn't talk to him before tho...)
- Speak to him near the first shrine of the map and just before the giant frog enemy. He will ask you to kill the frog and get the item back. Do it in this order (required?) and return to him to gain the ability to craft your own medicines with those materials you find. Can be crafted at shrine menu. The frog also gives you one of the tadpoles needed to upgrade the Frog found in chapter 1 that spawns when you walk into the marsh area along one of the routes (not exactly hidden, but technically optional). Apparently there are several more tadpoles which after all collected turns it into a powerful Mythical tier spirit that is very potent (and RNG reliant).

Horse NPC Quest (continued, permanently missable):
- Speak to the horse again to exhaust his dialog. He is near a bell just past the Earth Wolf at the tiny water pool, aka alternate route going around the blocked entrance that had multiple archers on the roof. Note the archers and wolf nearby offer a Spirit each worth grabbing.

Rat NPC (hidden, permanently missable)
- Super easy to miss. Speak to the rats hiding and exhaust their dialog. They can be found in the area close to the horse NPC. From the horse NPC there is another gate branching up a hill and a large tree near the top of the hill. In that area up the hill is a tiny building (behind the larger buildings at the gate that had a thunder casting rat). There is an NPC hidden inside you can speak by approaching the building and listening to him. Exhaust ALL of his dialog carefully. He will later show up dead in chapter 3 granting a new transformation for doing this.

Second Prince & King Boss (permanently missable rewards):
- This one is a bit unusual. The boss is not missable, nor is the First Prince (huge rat boss) afterwards regardless of the outcome of this fight. However, the reward differs depending on how you complete this fight. What you need to do is kill the King (the small rat) BEFORE the Second Prince (the larger brute). The method that I know of is to stand near a pillar that the King is on top of until the Second Prince accidentally hits it breaking and and dropping the King to the ground. There may be other better methods but I only know of this as I did it on my first attempt and the King dies so fast. You can instnatly kill the King at that moment very easily not needing to repeat this process. Simply run over and melee him a few times (try to have two focus built to double smash him for stagger + dmg) and after you do this freeze him with Immobilize to finish the job before he runs off to another pillar. What this accomplishes is after killing the King the Second Prince enrages becoming harder, but in return once you finish the fight like this you gain the Second Prince's Spirit reward as an extra loot on top of the original rewards. This method does NOT prevent the summoning of the First Prince (large rat) boss fight. Since the King will be dead and thus can't summon the First Prince, instead, you will use the other extra reward from this method you also get (Pungent Flesh) to summon the First Prince (from the shrine up the hill in the same area of this boss continue past into a tunnel, instead of across wooden bridge... and enter a large area with a pit in the area. Drop down into pit and go to the cliff edge and somewhere along the edge is a prompt to summon the First Prince). Thus you miss NOTHING that requires NG+ doing this, but if you kill the son Second Prince first it will need a NG+ to get the missable.

Loong Scale (unlocks Loong Questline series, potentially permanently missable but unconfirmed)
- Objective is to break the decorated wall (the only one in that area so quite obvious) that is located in the First Prince boss fight arena. One option is to stand near it when the First Prince does his charge attack and dodge him. Another option is to break it after the fight, if you didn't do the prior method, using a Spirit (Wandering Wright only one I personally know is confirmed but there may be others). This entrance in the wall leads to a tiny room with a single chest that grants you the Loong Scale.
- What this does is now in each of the chapters that have a specific waterfall (including sand waterfalls... not just literal water) it causes a voice to start speaking when near them (from a pretty good distance actually) and when you follow the voice to the waterfall you get a prompt to open the waterfall paths which lead to a large chamber each time for a Loong Dragon boss fight of which there are four over the course of the game each with their own rewards (with a ghost totem checkpoint if you die in boss fight, note it auto activates for dying in the area nothing you need to do to use).
1. Now return to chapter 1's Shrine just before where Wandering Wright was and head left, instead of the path to Wandering Wright (general direction of the flaming transformation boss kind of). You should quickly start hearing an ancient voice speaking without moving very far. Follow it (hard to miss) to a waterfall and fight the boss.
2. Return to chapter 2 and you will eventually find a sand waterfall with the same type of voice from the rest shrine you activate near the Mother of Stone boss on the side that has the shield/spear enemies and also connects to the Drunken Boar / Stone boss. TIP: This boss has an otherwise very obnoxious special attack mechanic that is easily solved by standing on the large rocks. This is the attack where he slams the ground and it pulses a ridiculous number of times. Otherwise trivial fight, but you can make it easier if you do these two after getting the Pluck of Many skill from reaching the boss door (it is automatic, unmissable so you cannot accidentally activate the boss and this makes it clear where not to go until you finish all of Chapter 2's content... worth getting because Pluck of Many is basically the best ability unquestionably in the game and the equivalent of limit breaks/super moves from other games).
3. Third & Fourth Loong Fight I've not found yet but are not in chapter 2, as I'm only partially through chapter 3.
Note: May be permanently missable if you fail to make the First Prince break the wall and didn't acquire Wandering Wright before it vanishes, assuming no other spirit can break the wall. The Wandering Wright is the most obviously known/tested to break the wall but there might be others later on that can break it. If not this may be permanently missable until NG+.

Man-In-Stone NPC Questline / Shop:
- If following this in the same order presented approximately then this will occur around the same time / area as chapter 2's Loong Fight as his waterfall is not that far from the shrine near the boss involved in this quest. You will find this NPC when you reach an area with large Buddha heads on the ground. From the Shrine leading into a cave area you will, instead of entering the cave, head to the right to reach a small crevice valley which at the end of this short crevice path is a rock you can... speak to. His name is Patches. Okay, it is not but it ought as well be.
1. Exhaust his dialog and he will ask you for a key item acquired from the Mother in Stone boss.
2. Go back to the shrine and enter the cave. On the opposite side of the cave is the Shrine mentioned for Loong Dragon #2 and Drunken Boar quest, but what yo want is to find a hill within the cave leading up past a variant of the crystal enemy giving its Spirit reward. Beyond that enemy/Spirit is a giant stone boss, aka free exp. Basically, attack the boss to start the fight and as you damage it the buried stone mobs will wake up one by one to interfere. The boss never fights back so you only have to dispatch the mobs as they spawn and then hit the boss until the next spawns. Super easy because you can kill them one at a time (weak mob) or as a group after doing a ton of dmg while avoiding them then just AoE the mobs. Eventually, kill the boss, get the item, return to Man-in-Stone NPC.
3. Give the key item from the boss to this NPC and beat up the ungrateful scammer.
4. Speak to him after and exhaust his dialog. He will grant you a new transformation and his shop of scams (everything, except the Soak, in it is a scam and can be gotten free elsewhere, and the item that mentions worth a lot of gold is worth less than he sells it for causing a profit loss... and buying the stuff grants you nothing earlier than the free methods nor any gains of any sort whatsoever).
5. Step 4 may require you to warp back to the shrine and reload the area (or even warp to another shrine and back) and then return to the NPC.

**continued from above info**

Hidden Shigandang Boss (EZ mode version):
- In the same area as the above questline involving Mother of Stone & Man-In-Stone is the prior mentioned Buddha heads.
1. You will notice some of these have chanting when near them, similar to the Loong Scale chants but a much shorter range. Find the chanting Buddha head and pluck out its eyes with the prompt. Once you have all, 6, I believe it was you can unlock this secret boss which turns another boss into a duo 3 party free-for-all tango or the, aka lets grab that free exp, boss fight. If you can't find them all use Google or YouTube. I'm not going to list all 6 here...
2. Upon collecting all the stones go to the Shine located between the prior mentioned Mother of Stone / Loong waterfall (and not the Shrine at the start of reaching that cave). From that shrine head over to the further end area and you may notice another shrine quite close by (lol...) but that isn't your goal for this. In this area leading to the connecting shrine you will see a weird looking pile of rocks (fairly tall but if not looking around you might miss it despite its abnormal texture appearance compared to other rocks in the entire Chapter 2). Walk to this rock only when you have all 6 Buddha eyes and use the prompt. You can activate it without the eyes but then you have to fight this boss, and later if you do get the eyes then you have to fight the other hidden boss... both solo from full HP instead of the EZ win.
3. Once the boss is activated the ground will have another rock, the hidden boss Shigandang, pop up and the two bosses are hostile to one another (and if you are far enough away may ignore you entirely). From this point it is critical to interfere instead of just watching because Shigadang will beat down the original boss badly in a rofl stomp. I recommend staying behind Shigadang (the extra boss opposite of the one you interacted with) and Immobilize and then trying to combo it. If the boss ever aggros you back off briefly. This way when the weaker one dies Shigangdang should be missing quite a bit of HP and maybe even a super EZ finish. Otherwise the boss may prove more annoying and as mentioned prior you may only get one chance (I'm uncertain but see prior reasoning) to do this EZ strategy. Imo, not a hard boss to solo as I was too far away to interfere as fast as I would have liked, aside from Immobilize, and had to do the last 60% myself... but I do think its kit may annoy some people (annoy, rather than hard). Enjoy the bonus loot, one of which is needed for a rather nice staff (the better of the two imo, the other is from chapter 2's Loong Dragon... but in chapter 3 quite early, aka first boss, you can make another as a reward that is arguably much better from a new deviating path of the same spear so stick with Cloud-Patterned second spear unlocked until then as a personal recommendation... but up to you. Kang's spear applies a bonus thunder proc at the end of light attack string for a nice boost of single target dmg with Downpour skill learned where this spear is for Pillar stance only boost). The other item Shigandang gives is for a quest finished beyond chapter 3 that I don't yet have full details for.

Hidden Cellar
- After defeating the Tiger Vanguard and the pool of Blood you can grab the Sobering Stone in the area behind it. However, there is actually a hidden path in this pool. Step atop the stairs at the blood pool and insert the key items you got (the missing one would be from the weaker Stone Vanguard boss in the fight that also had Shigandang, meanwhile the 2nd item is from Tiger Vanguard here so all the more reason to do this boss later on). This opens a hidden stairway leading down below the pool of blood. Follow this very linear route until you find some mobs which you can kill.
- The mobs in this hidden area should all be killed because the blue flame one is a Spirit. Tip: Use the fire transformation's heavy attack dash to AoE the groups of them for an easy win, and if you have it a great spot to use Pluck of Many.
- Note: The path just beyond them is a sliding sand hill meaning you cannot go back up it, but it leads to a hidden item if you double jump near the end of that slide down to the small overhanging just above. The game does not tell you how to double jump as far as I've seen but this can be done, oddly, by jumping and at the peak of your jump using a heavy attack (just tap) which propels you a bit higher (but not for long so time it right) letting you land up there for a hidden Soak for your gourd. At the base of that slide is a shrine, a very important NPC, and a third potential route to the concluding chapter 2 boss... (No route is superior to the other, btw).
- The NPC is the medicine creature Xu Dog you met before. He lets you trade in those Mind Cores you've been collecting for stat boosts like permanent HP, Mana, and more increases at differing conversion rates. These can be reset like most things in the game if you need a different stat but it should be pretty obvious what you will want most of the game... either HP (not only makes you tankier but boosts Gourd's healing a ton since it is % max HP based heals) or arguably the superior mana option (can potentially use Pluck of Many twice in a fight you are struggling in... if it somehow lasts that long or you run out the CD timer, otherwise simply grants more of other spell opportunities making bosses much easier).

Mad Tiger Boss / Questline:
1. You need to defeat the Tiger Acolyte (basically dude with a huge sword on a stone bridge iirc, hard to miss going that route) which is located in the path beyond the Tiger Vanguard pool of blood. Continue past the series of buildings to a stone bridge. Pretty hard to miss. Upon killing him receive Old-Rattle Drum needed to commence the quest activities.
2. Basically you can now interact with a hidden spirit (not Spirits you transform into, think of it as a totally invisible ghost that talks to you when you walk into the right spot with this key item... screen turns partially white faded and you get a prompt to use drum... walk around area until you find said prompt as necessary). You need to activate three of these which, frankly, is probably easier to find via a YouTube video than any text / photo based guide for most users so do that.
3. After activating all three drum locations you will find the hidden water well and jump "into" it. This well is actually near where you saw the Horse NPC earlier along the route between the nearby originally locked gate and horse leading to a tiny dead end area. You can't enter the well until you do the prior steps but once you have a cutscene will play having you jump in..
4. Defeat Mad Tiger boss
Note: I don't know if this has a trigger where it becomes missable after ending this chapter so be warned just in case.

Hungover Board NPC Questline:
- You will meet a boar who is pretty large and kind of hard to miss (when you enter the right area) next to a rock in an otherwise open plains. This is a bit past the area where you fight Mother of Stone boss / meet the rock NPC / Chapter 2 Loong boss, in an otherwise dead end route until you unlock the secret area.
1. You will need a Sobering Stone key item and you can get this pre-emptively to save time at the Man-In-Stone NPC by buying it from him (do NOT do this) or better yet for free from another location in the area immediately behind the Tiger Vanguard you fight at the large pool of blood. Note that this is not the hidden cellar route unlocked in his pool, but the above ground area immediately after him among the buildings, from a chest IIRC. Alternatively, you may be able to reach the Sobering Stone following the path beyond Shigandang's route (I forget if there was a door locked that way or not though, so might not be possible from that side).
2. Bringing the boar the Sobering Stone will then let you find him in a new location to the very right of the blood pool entrance (on the stairs up to it from the shrine just before it, it is the 2nd tiny dead end path to the right). He wants a Jade Lotus material found at most ponds (hint: Earth Wolf pond) which you probably already have by this point.
3. Last, you will bring him another item at the same spot, the Arhat Gold Piece (gotten defeating First Prince of Flowing Sands, the giant rat boss). May need to reload the area by teleporting to shrine (or to another shrine and back) and then speaking to him to do this step after giving Jade Lotus (or may work immediately).
4. Now return to the area you found the Drunken Board the first time and look to the right of the rock/location from the entrance to find a large gate. Before this gate should be another boar, his brother, who is a sort of mini-boss. Defeat him and he will unlock the hidden Realm of Gold leading to an artifact that helps with the concluding chapter 2 boss fight, an optional two bosses both of which are super ridiculously easy and basically free exp. IIRC, the boss gives you some armor, too. Might be something else there I'm forgetting, too, aside from materials The shop has one of the 4 refined iron offered in the chapter for the two different major staff upgrades, but I highly suggest not immediately applying it to the Loong staff until you view the other or at least look online before making a decision which you want as one of the other staff is from the concluding chapter 2 boss.
Note: I'm uncertain if this is permanently missable, but similar to the chapter 1 temple there is substantial content that can be missed that may not be obvious on the main progress route including a major artifact for assisting against the chapter 2 concluding boss fight.
Note: Like Chapter 1's hidden map area I'm not sure if this is missable, but it may not be obvious and includes a good amount of info/rewards so mentioned here.

All done with chapter 2's missables. Go trounce the final boss. Note that the bell artifact from Fuban (giant beetle in secret area) should be used when it does the massive whirlwind attack when low HP to not be knocked up and get the dmg reduction bonus.

Chapter 3

Kang Jin Staff
- Near the start of the chapter you will quickly come across a giant frozen lake with a mandatory dragon boss. Killing it provides a spear that is arguably superior to the Loong spear alternative (both need 4x refined sand, about 21k will, and the same prior base spear). Don't worry if somehow you lack the funds you will easily get 21k will in the area after the dragon, the prison.

Prison Wardens (permanently missable)
- There are 9 of these (1 hidden) which grant a guaranteed curio and a TON of experience (basically a level every 2 kills...) and are super easy to kill. You can kill them as you go along rather than avoiding them making exploring this place way easier. I recommend upgrading Pluck A Many as high as possible (even if you want to reset the spell back afterwards to something else after). It might be the only way to actually kill these things in a NG run since from my attempts once their initial stagger wears off (and sometimes even while Immobilized...) they can permanently stunlock you when you get close enough. You want to summon your clones whom don't trigger the stun and let them engage. Ideally, freeze the first one and help contribute damage (as long as the clone's stagger it together it seems to actually stun the boss where it wont stunlock you unlike if you just immobilize and move at it). The ideal way to tackle this is to do it when the two Wardens are fairly close together so you can immediately wipe one and then rush to the other (as they are usually pairs of two near each set) and let the clones engage the 2nd one before they expire. If clones vanish before killing the second one that is where you use a stun-locking/nuking Spirit and remaining focus to instantly kill it.
- Rest at Shrine (if first series and not yet at shrine u can just die on purpose and then respawn to get the next along the way running past basic mobs). Rinse and repeat.
- The final 9th one is hidden unlike the rest which are going to always wander the same spots on each floor/segment of floor they're assigned. To find it you will start at the final shrine at the top of the prison (where you reach outside to the snow, and just before the prison's big boss) and head opposite of said boss towards the stone status in the distance. A bird enemy drops down at the stone statues. Kill the thing and run to a small side path and drop down. At the end of the path is a blue blazing enemy with a Spirit you can acquire. Make sure to fight it when there is no chant reducing your HP as you might get surprised by some of its attacks and the warden spawns in the exact same area as the spirit... If need be simply wait before the end of that route where the spirit will be until the chant occurs, let chant end, then heal and engage spirit. After defeating the spirit wait until the chant occurs in that same area and summon your clones. Upon killing this 9th Prison Warden you get a missable Curio.

Prison Captains (missable?)
- This quest involves an NPC in a locked cell (purple seal on it).
1. Exhaust the dialog with the NPC. This is the one who talks to you immediately after you escape your own cell.
2. When you reach the 2nd shrine there is a drop down just before the shrine, literally a few feet away (don't drop into it before using the shrine...) with a boss encounter. This boss some of you might not like. TIP? Depends on your playstyle but one core tip to help is Pluck of Many upgraded as much as possible and then to stagger the boss as much as possible with Spirit / heavy attacks. Also the first fire transformation you get has a dash that helps a ton to get to this guy as he constantly teleports but don't do this until after your first pluck of many use otherwise you will constantly force him to teleport faster than your clones can get to and hit him. Defeating him gives you a key item you need for the quest (one of several similar items). It also unlocks all the purple sealed rooms in the prison to revisit for loot (of which I'm not going to go into detail here but some are relatively hidden fyi).
3. Return to the NPC and collect the Transformation (your third one at this point) from the corpse in the room assuming you spoke to the hidden rat traitor (the one just after speaking to horse I mentioned) in chapter 2 and properly "all the dialog".
4. Speak to the NPC a few feet away from the corpse. He wants you to collect the other items from the remaining captains like the first key item the purple teleporting captain Lotus gave you.
5. The next key item is from the prison's main boss at the top of the prison, but do the Prison Wardens in prior missable mentioned first or they may disappear I heard.
6. Rest of quest ??? as I stopped playing here the other day and haven't gotten around to playing after the boss.

As I mentioned immediately above in Step #6 I've stopped here and haven't had time to play the game further so I got no advice beyond this point but hopefully this helps streamline some of the sloppy information provided elsewhere.
