Buddha NPC not spawning in the Great Pagoda

I am experiencing issue with the Buddha NPC is not spawning. I have gone back and checked everything. Do I need to beat Stone Monkey and the Sage first? I did that on my first run through. I am currently on the Sage stage at the moment. I was going to skip Erlang but then I read about the secret stance and went back but little Buddha is not appearing. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you'll have to finish every secret scenes in all chapters before you can fight erlang

Just wanted to add. I done both the ending on my original run and gotten 100%. Do I need to do the good ending again in NG+ or is that a one time thing? Thanks!

do you unlock free mind like all 3 of them if so then u dont have to do good ending if u want but if no then u need to do that to unlock all of them

you will always need to do good ending for 3 times, doing so to unlock all 6 relics 3 times, then on NG+4 you can unlock true sage mode for a short time with special stance and voice. The goal of the whole game is to get rid of the headband, to do that you will have to beat Erlang before final boss.

Can any of the secret scenes in all chapters get lock out if I missed them or can I go back and do them, beat Erlang then beat the Great Sage. thanks!
