I am italian and i belive that a game is good even if it came from the most evil country in the world, but why people ask "is this game chinese", like what does it matter? I have more asian/oriental games than western, from years japan carries gaming community, remember that playstation and sony are from japan, for games i can name: souls,metal gear, mario, armored core ect ect

I'm Chinese working in a small game development company in China. Basically a cog in a small machine - and even at this small-time, run-of-the-mill, and super unglamorous job, I'm earning around approximately USD 42 k per year and live alone in a 1-person apartment unit.

Yeah, USD 42 k per year might be considered minimum wage in the US, but because of the incredibly low cost of living + very low personal tax here, I'm able to save more than 50-70% of what I earn.

And we really do have very low cost of living - with one hour's worth of pay, I am able to afford breakfast + lunch + dinner, and still have some money left over for a drink at the bar.

Your understanding of our working class is ... severely lacking.

Sure. I realize just like how people who have never been a surgeon before don't really know what it's like to carry out a triple bypass surgery, people who have never lived in China don't really have an inkling of how the CPC functions in China or what they have done to turn China from a country where my grandparents were starving to the manufacturing juggernaut it is today.

To the people who don't have any actual first-hand experience of China, their understanding of the country and the CPC is much like a kid's understanding of the world of superhero comicbooks, where everything is black and white, where everyone is either Good or Evil and nothing in between. Blinded by ignorance and saddled with prejudice, they lack an adult's more nuanced understanding of the world, where events and people exist in various shades of grey.

And because I am well aware of this informational asymmetry, I am well within my rights to poke fun at people who are blinded by their prejudice and ignorance. Of course, I do my best to keep it civil, because I'm cool like that.

I'm not sure which country you're from, but it's clear you haven't visited China. Your comments are filled with misconceptions and biases. If your country has beautiful landscapes or sites that resemble artwork, many Chinese working-class people would love to visit if they can afford it. In fact, many of the buildings in Black Myth: Wukong were scanned from real locations in China. You're welcome to come and see for yourself if China is really as you've been told. The reality on the ground might surprise you
