Rhino is just a matter of knowing how to break its horn (use additional focus gain sources like fire ring, or perfect dodging to get more smash stance heavies for breaking + wight breaks it instantly as well).
Its a bit gimmicky (wait till you see cricket) but realistically a good number of bossfights have "optional" strategies that make them a lot easier. You can do all the final bosses of chapter 2 to 4 without engaging with their "gimmicks" at all and you can beat the flying guy without fan just as well.
On my 2nd attempt against rhino i knew how to deal with it, interrupted the animation where he grows his horn back and did like 60% of its health in 1 sequence with clones + stunlock.
Its not a build problem but a strategy problem, theyre not much harder than the rest.
Oh ok that makes sense. I forgot I received that fan. I actually put the game down late last night after I beat chapter 5. That likely would have made the first fight against the Inspector way easier because he was in the air so often, i Just felt like I was perfect dodging (or trying to) so often for small counter windows.
