I've been fighting this guy for a whole week. I don't have much time due to work but I always make sure to get 2-3 hrs to fight this guy each week. He is too much. Anyone have any tips or help me fight this guy. At this point I don't care if I have to cheese him or anything. This guy is making me hate this game now.

no he is easy if you know the trick:
-put highest defense armor if you can't dodge well
-equip the fan vessel
-equip any high damage spirit like wandering white or the mythical frog
-equip a good transformation, the noob way is to use the guy with the rock head, but you can use yellow loong if you know how not to f*ck up
-equip the drink that allows you to recharge qi
-everything else is optional, put you can put good soaks and curios, and also points in the section to improve QI

the boss has 4 phases, he re-charges his invisible shield each phase.
Strategy is easy, you go as close as possible before he even moves, pop the fan, watch his shield get f*cked, you beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of him using attacks, and spirit, also immobilize works on him when shield is down.
Then you go next phase where he re-charges his shield and changes attacks, use your transformation to take out the shield and beat his ass again.
Then use qourd to recharge your Qi, and repeat .

Easy boss.

lol bad advice. Don’t use transformations on him. Any attack the glows gold removes it and some of them he instantly turns into the bird that removes it. The only one I saw that doesn’t cause this is Azure Dust..for some reason he just slow walks and talks ♥♥♥♥ when you use this. The problem most people are having is the poor frame rate and input lag combined causing some attacks to feel like 1 frame and impossible to dodge. His red sky dive, the axe slam into AoE and his dog into grab are good examples.

i bet you can't dodge ♥♥♥♥, just use azure dust if you are noob, with yellow long you can take more of his shield and do more damage at the same time, plus he is quicker but you need to be good so you can see through his attacks and you can stagger him so you can continue the combo. I haven't tried other transformations. My strategy is the easiest any noob can take him down, you don't even allow him to do many attacks this way so it doesn't matter even if you are hit, just don't get one-shot.

When he does the red attack with the many knives you can either do cloud step or use spinning attack to block all of the knives. Then even if you get shot with the red attack right after you won't die.

you are supposed to use the fan to fight him. Not necessary but literally why u get the fan in ch5 and stating highly effective against certain enemies. IDK why people are calling it a cheese. I mean ig if you just constantly use it is maybe. I was able to use it twice the entire fight at the beginning and then at the very end around 15% health. Keeping some distance also lets you a moment of breathing and healing along with easy dodges.

if you dodge the bird or the tiger then you can keep the transformation for the whole duration of might.

you can use the 5 peice armor u get from chapter 6
gold sun crow/jade moon crit currio
the fan is a must!
bat spirit is good to freeze
get qi brew to build up fan.
smash stance for my heavy attacks so i can charge while sprinting
max out mobile spin tree helps build focus fast and qi
azure dust


start the fight
use the fan, get close enough to cast...let the fan take out armor charge up 3 heavy attack while the tornado is hitting him / whens armor is off after u can hit him couple times, than immobilize him do mobile spin attack/
try to freeze him with spirit get some more mobile spin attack to build up the fan also can build up to 4 focus points and with that gear set you can not lose 4 focus points...
with that in mind for next phase, if your close u can just drink gourd to fill up qi for fan

rinse repeat

once hes on 3rd phase if u dont have enough for qi u can use azure dust back up
atleast take half armor off. slowy try not to spam his attack. little by little
than enough for 3rd fan but by the time hes like 30% hp should be easy. to break his armor and go ham you can even cast plucks of many at that point if u have enough mana. maxing that out can help too if hes 30%hp

Guys, I finally defeated his ass. Had to use the needle instead of the fan. I used all the points on critical damage, critical hits, defense and attack. You have to fight him super close range and can't chicken out and keep pressure on him. Or he will continuously attack and shield up.

Azure Dust work on him because being a rock is your innate power as the reincarnation of the stone monkey, which is why he has no counter for that transformation.

i suspect stone monkey transformation would also work just as well.

I'm not even sure you can dodge the bird. The tiger is easy but the bird....I wait until last possible second and even tried early but it always lands. He has literally only used the bird if I tried Yin Tiger. He even has a line where he says " ahhhh Yin Tiger...." and then instantly turns into the bird.

Yeah but I hate how inconsistent the game is with mechanics. Just just walks and lets you hit him when you turn into the stone......but if you charge a heavy he dodges it like Neo. If you transform into Yin he instantly turns into the bird to take you out of transformation. Other transformations he goes completely aggro. I actually think it's because you slow walk. I've noticed some bosses go really passive the slower you move.
