Horse Guai missing NG+?
I am not sure if I screwed up this quest. I met Horse Guai twice, 1. Bamboo Grove, 2. Sandgate Village, however he was not at the next expected location in 3. New Thunderclap Temple bridge. I'm not sure why he was not present, but is it because the quest is redundant since I already got all his items on regular NG? I did notice though in Chapter 5 that he appeared during a boss fight, not sure what that means.

Chapter 5 is because he died, his spirit was trapped, after defeating that boss, you can get his transformation in a corner at lava-like location. There is a Whip hanging out of the corpse of a Fire wagon. The whip is the Horse's weapon.

Did you exhaust the dialogue with him in Chapter 1?

did you exhaust his conversations. Go back to the last place and see if he is still there talk to him a few more time. until he start repeating.

Chapter 5 is because he died, his spirit was trapped, after defeating that boss, you can get his transformation in a corner at lava-like location. There is a Whip hanging out of the corpse of a Fire wagon. The whip is the Horse's weapon.

Apologies that I don't have anything to add directly, but I just wanted to say that the Horse Guai is awesome. He's a good character in Wukong in the vein of Onion Knight from Dark Souls.

Yes, I did exhaust his dialogue. The last time I saw him, he was tied to a pole. I did find the whip/cart, but it provided no dialogue when interacted with.

I did already have this achievement and item. Perhaps I screwed something up along the way and did not actually exhaust all dialogue. Thanks anyway, I'll double-check to chat him up in NG+2!

Yes, he seems like a cool dude lol. I would totally hang with him!
