Is it possible to get more than one? I noticed that some curios cannot, even in NG+, while other can.

you should be able to get more than one from NG+, although I missed the item on my first playthrough so sadly cannot test

I'm not so sure of that. I am pretty sure I killed all 9 wardens in the pagoda prison place for NG+ but did not get a second copy of the auspicious lantern. That's why I need someone from NG+ and beyond to confirm.

For Auspicious lathern, I don't think you can get more than one .I missed it in first playthrough, but finally got it in NG+. However, I tried in NG++ but it didn't drop.

Thanks for confirming. I could've sworn I killed all 9 but I wasn't keeping precise count. I also re-traced the entire zone only during the cursed times, and didn't see any missed wardens. Including the 9th at the end of the far off drop-down area from the top. I wish the game would make it more clear which curios can have duplicates and which cannot.

Can confirm, killed 9 lanterns NG+, no drop after earning it once in the original playthrough.

Tried obtaining the Auspicious Lantern in NG++ (after skipping in both previous runs) and it didnt drop

I got one in NG+ but that's because I didn't get it on my first run. I guess the curio is too op to drop more than once.

if you killed Captain Wise Voice (the bell dog? boss), those lantern warden will stop spawning
