How the hell do you beat that guy?

I get him to 50% max than he just 1 shot me.

Please help.

Ring of Fire + Thrust stance, Rock Solid for parry him

Hes optional and one of the hardest bosses in the game. Gets easier when you do him after completing chapter 5 or so, but never really easy (apart from NG+, where you are kind of OP^^) I did him before going into chapter 5 and he is the boss where I needed the most tries in the whole game

Progress through the game. If you want an easier experience, you can acquire the Chapter 6 armor before attempting this boss.

Or you can be hardcore and learn his moveset. I died close to 50 times before defeating him

Honestly, I'm "stuck" on him at the moment and I'm leveling either right around his area, killing the beetle guys. There's 5 of them in the area and they net decent experience. Plus they also drop Mind Cores on occasion to upgrade your celestial medicine (health/stamina/mana/stam regen/etc).

I'm also still using the ole reliable Fright Cliffs-->Rockrest Flat in Chapter 2 which is one of the best experience spots in the early game easily.

Just make a reverse figure 8 from the shrine. Kill the 4 Horse/Hog shield/spear guys, along with the 3 rock dudes and 3 rot spewers. Horse/hog shield/spear guys drop Mind Cores on occasion so it's a good spot.

I've almost gotten Yellow Loong down a few times, but still need a bit more stats. Then Scorpion Lord next which ain't any better, but at least I'd have the Yellow Loong transformation for that, plus the 108 damage staff you can get from killing him (and using the ingredients).

Use cloud step when he does the plunge attacks so you avoid the most dangerous part of the fight

2)Get as much points as you can to improve your defense and Pluck of Many.

3)Take Cloud step to get more breathing room when things get tough.

4) Try to include the fire breathing rat transformation for extra damage

I beat Yin Tiger at around level 60, and it took me around 50 attempt as well, but im just stuck at Yellow loong.

take some meds (dmg boost) before moving in

move in while charging focus, so when you get close to him you can a free big hit, you have to time it well

use the wind vessel to knock him down when he rises up in the air and tries execute his super attacks

if you got him in the corner, summon your minions, and everything you got for a big dmg

transform into rockie when you're in danger or have him close to the edge of the arena

stand back, charge your attack, rinse and repeat :)

But it was a very hard fight.

I beat him at level 61, died at least 50+ times, but you learn the timing and movesets eventually.

The player level against this boss is indifferent, my level is 90 and I can't beat him after many attempts, I left it for when the monkey is stronger, I think that's the problem, the monkey lacks strength with the egg stick that doesn't do much damage and I have a stick with 80 damage... I'll wait to have the 108 damage stick and for the hairy monkey to be more skilled.
