Spellbinder offensive buff + ability lockout solved pretty much every issue aside from skill, grinding the last boss and secret last boss long enough fixed that.
I'm glad from software finally has real competition personally, it was like they had the entire market of this style of gaming to themselves for so long. Lack of competition leads to stagnation. Spellbinder is also an extremely good innovation that I think from software should be inspired by and implement into their games. The idea of locking out all non-martial forms of combat and abilities for a buff to melee attack power is amazing.
I don't think we'll ever get enough games in this genre that are actually amazing on top of being replayable. I could only really play from software games for so long and now I think I am only interested in getting good at wukong. We'll see how I feel after novelty fades but even then, it's another game to mix in instead of just from software games. It does so much of the formula so much better than from software.
