Is the digital deluxe edition worth it?

I don't care about the soundtrack and the extras don't me much to me. Should I just pass and get the regular edition if I'm on a budget?

I doubt it. I have the regular but double checked the deluxe before purchase. The base staff has 30 attack while the DLC has 36 on the staff which is negligible. The curio makes you walk/run slightly faster apparently. No idea about the armor but probably mostly irrelevant. So no, I think it is pretty bad tbh.

You,ll get a better staff pretty quickly but the upgraded one worked good for me on the first 2 bosses

The sound track is just unlocked in the title screen of the game. You don't get to move it to your other music files. That said. the staff you get is better than the starting one, but not by a ton. It doesn't take long before you are upgrading your original staff and making it way stronger.

However, if you want to buy it so you don't feel guilty finding the MP3 files elsewhere, then yeah. I trust if you do a bit of searching, you can find them.

Thanks guys, I think you're right. Going to pass on the deluxe. I can't wait to play. Just bought the game. Hopefully my computer can run it lol

You will get few "stronger than beginner ones" items which I am not sure how can you get if you do not buy the deluxe upgrade, but I bought the deluxe upgrade purely just to support the devs because I love the game a lot.

Same deluxe upgrade has been in Lies of P as well, all you got were I think 3 or 4 cosmetic items which don't give you any advantage, you will get an advantage early on with Wukong's deluxe upgrade, but it's not very significant.

I forgot you get the pilgrim set too. That's not too shabby, but you'll be upgrading it before the staff I reckon.

I bought the digital deluxe upgrade for $15 because i got the game from my new GPU promotion, personally i don't think it's worth it now looking back. You will get way better and practical gear and items in game, the deluxe item are really just that extra skin for you to show support to the studio.

Yeah, if you have the materials (and I'm guessing levels) you can upgrade gear at the shrine, or make it anyway.

It's just that I've read reviews that items from the deluxe edition can't be improved.

That is true, they are special and cannot be upgraded. I meant other items. That's why the upgrade to deluxe items are only useful to a point. You'll out grow them quickly. They will give you a pretty good advantage early, but it's not for long.
