Except for that pig...
Who is Wukong talking about at the beginning he says there is only one person that is a boastful as Erlang. I thought he was referring to Baijie. But that doesn't seem right considering how much he cares about Wukong's legacy. Granted, I've not played that far myself, but I've seen plenty of clips.

What pig is he talking about?

He is talking about Zhu Bajie. The team took some serious liberties with his character. I hated Zhu in the book but I love him in this game.

I see. It kind of annoys me people keep saying this is Journey to the West. It's like no. It's a continuation of that tale. It would be like if I wrote a story about resurrecting King Author. That wouldn't be the source material, it would be a continuation of it.

Sure. I think I'd say it uses an "inspired" JttW as the base for it's tale as a continuation. Zhu kills plenty and I am pretty sure he and the other guy Sandy have eaten people. I don't see Bajie or Wukong as good guys even in this story because I know the ♥♥♥♥ they've done.

Just like real people in a lot of ways - they essentially are caricatures (much like most 'gods'), just with aspects often taken to extremes.
