Skill Checks
Do these count?

Chapter 1
Blue Baby- First skill check
Snek Man- Second skill check

Chapter 2
Blood Kitty- Third Skill check

Chapter 3
Cyan Loong- Fourth Skill check
Yin Tiger- Fifth skill check
Both of these guys can be missed so their skill checks are lessened if you meet them later

Chapter 4
Yellow Loong- Sixth Skill check, if you can do this you can do anything.
Scorpion Lord- Seventh Skill check

Chapter 5
At this point if you’ve been playing the game utilizing combos, focus points, dodges and staggers there are no skill checks here. If you’ve been ignoring those things and opting to brute force encounters with your spells and transformations then yeah all the skill checks are going to hurt you massively and Red Boy and Unga Bunga Red Boy are gonna hurt.
I didn’t list chapter bosses as they have megaman weapons that significantly make their fights easier due to their gimmicks.

Chapter 6
Secret Dudeman- can be a skill check but he can be cheesed
Ending Dudeman- Can be more difficult than Secret Dudeman not sure if there is cheese for him.

I think the blue head and Erlang are the only real skill checks in the game.

That makes sense to me which is why I put the bit in Chapter 5. If you get what you need from Blue Baby then everything else until the very end won't be a skill check but if you take longer to learn or use the varied options the game gives you then other skill checks will show up.
I think whiteclad noble pretty much preps you for everything. Everything else is just about using the same principles you learn from this fight. The Wight is only really challenging because you have zero upgrades when you first encounter him

Yep.
i dont think its a skill check point

more like we didnt get a good tutorial

i was able to progress all the way to chatper 3 before i actually understand the gaming mechanic . but it took many many hours to figure out by myself

eventually i learned how to use resolute counter and how to fill in attacks in between boss' combo gap. i opened another save file and able to complete same amount of progress in 20% of the original play time
many of the boss i stuck with for like 1-4hours in the past, i could beat it in 5-15mins in new save file
except that black loong... having hard time to find a rock when i need it XD (but as a hidden boss, i think ppl should just come back in later chapter. dont challenge it too early)

As the posts above have sort of expressed it is a mileage may vary situation. The Blue Baby is pretty much the tutorial on the fundamentals of the game. I will admit there is plenty that is not expressed such as "see through" being more of a timing mechanic as opposed to it being tied to just smash stance. This also applies to any bonuses applied to "see through"

You can deal with his drum solo attack by jumping then rolling. I think the roll cancels the ending lag the jump landing.
