There are like 4 phases each quarter of his entire hp. I learnt up to 2 quarter and completely get annihilated after that. Its been 3 days I've been trying to beat him lol.

I think a small portion has. You can use cheese if you are desperate or just stick with it and eventually you'll get it.

A good amount of people have based on how many have got the achievement.
You can use the fan you get that summons a tornado to take out his shield.
throw the tornado out, charge up a smash heavy and drop it as the tornado is about to end and hit him with a full light attack combo set. get ready to dodge his next attack wave and hit him with an immobilize spell if you can and get a bit more damage before he throws his giant axe at you. I use use cloud step hhere and move off to the side. dodge towards him to avoid the shockwave and wail on him some more.
The armor set that helps you build Qi for vessels works well for this fight as well as the Drink that returns some Qi when you use your gourd. This helps get the fan out as quick as possible.
You can also knock him out of his attacks like the annoying laser attacks if you have focus points built up and are positioned to get a heavy strike off.

Once you beat him. Good luck ;)

edit: i forgot to mention, throw out the tornado at the very start of the fight as he's taking his first couple steps. at like step 2 or 3 hit the tornado vessel and start charging up a heavy attack as you run towards him and then unload the heavy attack right when theres a couple ticks left of his shield left that way you maximize your window for damage in your opener.

i only used smash stance for this fight.

Beat him first try, and?
He is not that hard as people described, but many of them play too passive in this fight that lead to their lose

yea, use Qi build + cloud step + fan = easy win, I pretty much kept him locked up each phrase til he's done

I killed him and they reset the fight. he just respawned with full hp. why do it again

i got him after 4 hours and 2 days 2h/2h.
He is really hard. (Broken Shell was first try after that fight)

in the last fight, i dodge 95% of his attacks.
no sp. Build or potions.
But yes, he was (for me) the hardest fight.

I would rank him on the same level with the actual last boss tho.

Only other boss that gets even close is yellow loong. Most other bosses are really easy compared to these three. Aside from that only a few others stand out being a little bit harder than most bosses, like scorpion king and that hand head commander.

Took somewhere between 20-30 tries
