Chapter 4 Relief of the Fallen Loong question

Am I able to beat the final boss and then return to beat this boss? I am struggling on this one and hope to strengthen up a bit more.

Yeah this is exactly what i did, i beat the game, i barely prepped too, and was able to first try the boss
