Why cant I run this game on my pc.
I am not sure I’m the only one with this issue, but when I try to run the game it stutters like crazy, the audio delays and melds into pure noise, the screen freezes for up to 5 seconds some times. I know this game is demanding but my PC should be alright,

So I’m looking for someone to help me look at my specs and tell me what could be going so wrong.

CPU
Intel Core i7 14700
Raptor Lake 10nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1197MHz (17-17-17-39)
Motherboard
ASRock Z790 PG Lightning/D4 (CPUSocket)
Graphics
4087MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (Gigabyte)
Storage
223GB KINGSTON SA400S37240G (SATA-2 (SSD))
931GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 (SATA )

Nope, happening to me as well, and I'm running about the same specs

Can I start with an (hopefully) rethorical question? Have you checked to update all your drivers to the current versions? Scan&Repair the files? Installed on SSD (in good health)?

Other than that, you should be totally fine spec wise. You're rocking a 1 gen higher GPU and 2-3 gen higher CPU than I am. And I'm running the game perfectly fine.

Aside from that, try to get some optimized settings for the game. I really enjoy BenchmarKing's videos for game settings.

Then you can try this:
https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738 (get the Universal version, and follow download instructions)

And this:
https://github.com/Lyall/WukongTweak

To get more performance for free + tweaking some settings you otherwise wouldn't be able to.

I noticed it happens a lot with games that are using a lot of shader info, could that be messing with something? I have the same issues with Hunt Showdown recently

Drivers are up to date, I already went and checked on local files in steam, even reinstalled the game. Saldy as of right now I dont have space on my SSD for the game, would need to get a new one with no idea if that will help. Lowering graphics is actually not even that helpfull... I could try the nexus thing...

At least for my personal experience and what I've read from others online, this game really needs an SSD install. I had it on my HDD at first too, but it ran like ass. SSD fixed it all + what I linked before improved performance even more.

Did you experienced graphics and audio stutters like I did? When you ran it on an HDD?

Can't remember clearly, as it has been a while. But graphics 100% stuttered when I ran it on my HDD (7200RPM WD Black 1TB) I can't guarantee the audio issues, but I do remember everything being super stuttery and inconsistent.

A HDD operates better with more memory in the system. You have 16GB of system Ram running and game intalled on a slow sata drive.

It is unlikely that you can fit (win11) and wukong on the SSD as it is a tad to small in capacity to function properly if not enough free room on it.

The stuttering sound is likely caused by constant slow HDD streaming and the system being on it's limit with memory.

You should consider at least 32GB Ram in a 4070 system. RT and frame generation will put your Vram above the 12GB easy with cinematic details and then you have a problem if you only have "8 ish gb Ram" for Wukong if operating system eats half.

Yeah I think an m.2/equivalent drive would help significantly with the issues you describe. They are pretty reasonably priced. 50-100 usd for a TB drive. You would also notice a substantial overall snappiness and boot times if your OS install is on one.
Your ram and Drives are really bottle-necking the rest of your gear. I think you would be surprised by how much.

If this information is correct then the GPU is below minimum requirements.

4087MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (Gigabyte)

Requirment is 6gb and up.

I doubt it then, you would remembered it if you had experienced that anoyance.

So my RAM low? It does make sence.

FSR Frame Generation not needed for his 4070 his card support DLSS Frame Generation.

Installing that FSR mod would not perform as good as what he already have.
