If I want to explore and suddenly die by jumping off a cliff or burning in lava than let me do it
Money / budget / time is a thing? Probably see more fully exploration in wukong 2.0 now that its far beyond proof of concept and given actual returns.
It eventually made me lost any interest in the game. I have better things to do than endlessly wander through badly designed maps and try to find where I should actually go. When you add many optional content for which locations you have zero clues the disaster is complete .... At the end I just cheated my way through in order to finish the game quickly and delete it with a sigh of relief.
edit: lol, this cra*py game cannot be even cheated through :D: D I just keep running thru empty level without a clue where to go. Screw this.
I played elden ring with a map but that also showed all secrets and stuff and it became a chore because without the map i didnt find anything, only good stuff was in major locations.
I can see why the walking might be anoying but we have items to walk faster.
In my opinion this is explorarion done right. No too much, not too little, just the right about of extra power from exploration.
Plenty of builds and utility and very nice looking art and nature.
Elden ring was ugly and depressing, monkey is beautiful and depressing.
