Stone Monkey
Stone Monkey boss is an extremely lazy design at trying to make a challenging boss. There is no reason to make him harder to beat than the Monkey King himself (like night and day difference). I even found Yellow Loong and Yin Tiger to be overrated comparatively.

stone monkey is hard? how is he hard? Broken Wukong is much harder.. Stone Monkey move set are simple and his move are slow. even when in phase 2, it's not much harder than Quick as Fire, Fast as Wind boss in chapter 5.

just bully him with pluck of many or spellbinder..

Difference of opinion I guess because I found that boss to be a joke. Simple fight.

i guess we just have to agree to that i suggest, i 1st try stone monkey in both phases. meanwhile phase 2 of broken wukong took me a day to beat him...

i also found stone monkey to be way easier than broken shell, slow and telegraphed attacks

Sometimes it just happens. Last night I beat Stone Monkey, Great Sage Broken Shell, see normal ending, went on to beat Erlang Shen, went back to Stone Monkey and he kept kicking my ass before I went to sleep. I don't know, he was easy before I beat Erlang Shen, that fight must have drained all my energy.

i'm guessing because erlang shen is fast, stone monkey is slow, and that is messing with your timing.

You are right, I just blasted through Monkey and Broken Shell again in one go. Just need to find the timing again.

It probably has to do with the fact that he has AOE attacks for most of his moves and is slow so quick early movements get punished even from far away.

Stone monkey is not a difficult boss, he is very slow.
